one song per week

in SRGMP 09 AGNIPARIKSHA only one song for each contestant per week. In SRGMP 07 it was 2 songs....now the show is more of drama than singing...07 was better....contestants there was humble and not over confident...

I don't think there was more than one song for the contestants in ch 2007 when there were 14 or 13 contestants ..I think 2 songs started when the number came down top 6 or 5 .....

The most awaited Agnipariksha round commences this week and we will also know who are the 2 singers who join the list of 12 already selected singers.. The results of the Brahmastra round will be announced in this episode.. But before that we have the start of the Agnipariksha round by the 4 Gharanas..

Group Performance by the four Gharana Contestants along with mentors

Aditya enters and greets everyone.. He says from now on its the audience who will take the charge of eliminating the contestants as the voting starts and we have to also look what the Awam has decided for the Brahmastra contestants and who will join the VS Hit Squad.. He also says more than 7 Lakh votes have been received for this round..

Josh Gharana:

Aditya announces that in Josh gharana there are contestants from Chattisgargh, Maharashtra and America..

Bappida, Mauli, Sumedha and Abhijit enter the stage and sing Athani kamaai, kharcha rupaiya (Bombay to Goa) and main aaya tere liye.. At last they end the performance by singing dil mein hain josh, udadenge hosh..

Aditya asks what preparation has been done by the Josh gharana contestants.. Bappida says he is very happy that he has got these contestants.. Abhijit is very good, Mauli is Shakira of India and Sumedha is Britney Spears.. SMS for them and make them win..

Yalgaar Gharana:

ID enter with Amanat Ali, Poonam and Rimi Dhar - Amanat starts singing Jabta k bikna na thaa.. Thy all sing together karam kar ae maula.. At last they finish with singing yalgaar ho.. Aditya asks ID what is the preparation of Yalgaar gharana.. He says it will be seen on the stage, asks should they show it here? Aditya replies, no let them show it on stage..

Rock Gharna:

Aditya introduces this gharana to be having the most no of challengers.. They sing Asalam Valekum.. Aneek sings major part of the song..
After performance, Aditya says Aap ka suroor has got tremendous opening.. It has maximum opening and crossed the opening of many blockbusters.. He reads a SMS from Times of India - which says Aap ka suroor is big hit and when the curtains fall this year, there will be one man whose name will be taken and that will be Himesh..

Himesh thanks the audience for making his film a big success.. Aditya says his Mother was here in last episode and gave him blessings here, Himesh continues saying that this film was released on his mother's birthday and now its a grand success.. An artist always wants that his films always get good opening, many shows are run and that has happened with him and he is happy for that.. He also says there is 1% of the audience who are the critics and he always tries to make them happy and he will prove them wrong..

For the preparation question Himesh answers "Rock gharana is ready for every challenge and lets see who take this world cup - India, Pakistan or overseas"

Hit IT Gharana:

Vishal-Shekhar along with Apurva and junaid sing thodi masti thoda pyaar from Jhankaar beats and conclude singing Aa dekhe zara kismein kitna hain dum.. Vishal says in this profession its always audience who give their support and they are the most important people.. he thanks the audience for giving them the support and also for selecting them for Brahmastra..

Josh Gharana:

Aditya calls Mauli from America to sing.. She sings Dhak dhak karne lagaa from beta.. She requests everyone to vote if they liked the performance:

Abhijit sing Banke tera jogi from Phir bhi dil hai hindustani.. He too requests everyone to vote..

Sumedha sings Humko aaj kal from Sailaab..

Aditya reads a letter -

I had the opportunity to watch saregamapa June 1st episode where I heard Sumedha singing the song composed by Ismail Darbar and would like to give her an opportunity to sing in one of the films..

She is excited to get the contract, it is also shown to all the viewers.. Bappida says if Mahesh Bhatt takes some star, they become a hit.. So, wish her best and says this may be the first time when if the person is champion or not, they have got the contract to sing..

ID also wish her best and says - "saregamapa ka izzat rakhna" If she does not sing well, Mahesh Bhatt can take away the contract at any time, he gives chance to only selected people..

All the contestants are called on stage.. ID again takes the issue of whether to bring Aneek and Abhijeet back to the contest or not.. He also asks Aneek to come on stage.. He says Australia has 3 consecutive wins and in next world cup they cannot come directly into the finals.. In the same way if they have won the contest, how can they get direct entry.. If this is the point, then Amanat who was the winner of middle east must also have got the direct entry.. This is competition and asks from where the competition should start? For this Aditya says these two were selected from public voting and those people like Amanat, Sikander, Musarrat and Junaid came through auditions..

Aditya asks the views of other mentors also.. Himesh says he will not go against ID, Bappida also leaves it to the hands of Zee to decide

Vishal objects for this and says Aneek should be in as it was already decided in the previous episode.. He says they have got 2 new contestants from Brahmastra, Himesh has got one and Bappida has got one, so if he wants he can be given an opportunity.. ID objects for this and says its not because he doesnot have one contestant he is taking this issue.. This issue is because all the other contestants should not be affected.. According to him, the 2 contestants should not come and participate and be part of Challenge 2007..

Yalgaar Gharana:

Rimi Dhar sings O Solemiya from Pop corn khao mast ho jao.. She then asks for vote, and also speaks in Bengali and says she belongs to Bengal but now stays in Madhya Pradesh

Amanat sings Fiza's title song..

Poonam sings mere maula from Khakee.. She gives a wonderful performance

Rock Gharana:

Joy Chakraborthy sings Humma Humma from Bombay.. He was energetic in performance.. VS were enjoying the song.. Aditya asks Vishal how the performance was.. Vishal says he did not understand even a single word in the song, but in original song he did not understand.. So, the performance was good..

Nirupama Roy sings Laga Laga re from Maine pyaar kyun kiya.. Her brother has come to watch her perform.. He is also carrying a big banner for her.. He says he liked her performance


Mussarat sings Tere Bin from Bas Ek Pal.. He thanks everyone for the love and support he has been given from all over the world and requests everyone to vote..



Aneek performs Dil se re from Dil Se.. Mind blowing performance All the contestants are called to stage.. ID says he is not going to comment on Aneek as he is not part of this contest.. Bappida says Aneek may have a late entry, but he is a star.. Vishal says they both Aneek and Abhijeet must be in.. Shekhar says he will talk to Ismailji.. Himesh requests ID to give them both a chance.. He says he has lot of respect for him and also never has asked him anything but today requests him to allow these two contestants.. ID says he will allow them because Himesh is asking and also because Aap ka suroor is a big hit, he is allowing them both.. Himesh shouts - "seethi bajao".. Everyone in the audience, Aditya, contestants cheer for ID.. Seems all scripted

Hit IT Gharana:

Aditya says, he has got the results in hand, but first Junaid and Apurva will perform..

Junaid sings Halke Halke from Honeymoon travels Pvt Ltd..

Apurva sings Dus Bahane from Dus
