SCOOP: Rahul Mahajan's ex. speaks

Rahul Mahajan is currently the strongest contender on reality show Bigg Boss. He has been doing everything right from day one from playing up to the cameras to flirting with Monica Bedi. His close bond with Payal Rohatgi was exposed when he kissed her in one of the recent episodes. Rahul knows how to grab attention lounging in a piece of lingerie or his obsession for face creams, massage cravings, and his love-hate relationship with Raja Chaudhary.

Is this the real Rahul? The only person who knows this best is his childhood friend and ex-wife Shweta. They knew each other for 13 years when they decided to get married; but separated two months later; reports of Rahul's abusive and violent nature followed.

In the latest issue of Showtime, Shweta Singh breaks her silence. She hasn't spoken about Rahul since the divorce at all; it is believed that it was a condition laid down by Rahul while granting her the divorce. In a candid interview the ex-Mrs Mahajan says, "The participants know they are under the watchful eyes of the cameras and they cannot be what they actually are. Every participant here has come with a purpose. You can only come to know a person when he or she will come out of the show."

The real Rahul

If asked if the Rahul on the show was the real deal, she answers, "He is a nice person but a little impulsive by nature. It's surprising to see that he has changed so soon. It may be because of the cameras around him all the time. As I said, everybody is there with some kind of an image. Everybody is acting and trying to clear up their mess."

We've seen Rahul and others excitedly cleaning bathrooms, washing utensils and sweeping the floor in the Bigg Boss house. Shweta believes it's all for effect. "Whether they do the same kind of work in their homes is something they only know.

Everyone watching the show can easily make out that these tasks are about garnering public votes and surviving. Do you really think Rahul is the kind of a person who'd be interested in doing any household work? Most of them just pretend. Everyone seems to be very good at acting."

Of late, Rahul's intimacy with Payal Rohatgi, she says, "There were media reports even during our divorce period that he was going around with some girl. People are smart to look into the facts.

Payal herself has said that she is in a relationship with him for the last six years, which I am completely unaware of. I have no clue whether he is going to marry Payal or not. That is their decision, which needs to be taken by them. All I can say is that right now, Rahul is completely different from what he used to be 10 years ago."
