Do you think that some social stigmas too should be discussed in Dill Mill Gayye?

Ofcourse, Dill... is very much about love and relationship among the interns, and it is its main track. Since the background of the show is medical oriented, there is actually a lot of scope of weaving social stories in it.
I think that this can add to the brightness. It was really great when cobbled up the story of bomb blast and sucuide bomber. Didn't we all love that?
Can you recall this - When the interns had been off to a village as a part of their medical camp, Riddhima saved a lady who was very much beaten up by her husband and she made sure that the lady got justice in the Gram Panchayat.
I think it would be quite very much interesting to watch comedy, love and such stories interwoven.
Do agree?

i agree.
seeing the medical background as the backdrop, its not all about love and romance and happy happy times (although we love that) BUT...as u quite rightly pointed out, other stories need to be inverwoven into the main story...

I think it would be a great idea - there were lot of things they tried to touch in the earlier days. Smoking, wife beating etc.
They cannot lose their comedy factor because that us what keeps me watching but it would be great to see them touching once in a while on these issues.

No, I dont think DMG is capable of handling social stigmas any longer..Even if they did bring something very serious up, nobody would take it seriously!

Back in the day, When the burnt lady track was bought up, or a patient dying, was looked upon in a very serious manner, because we knew the interns would handle it maturely and like docs should handle it.Everyone was mature about it, and it never turned into something funny later...

But NOW, it seems even as many times as they try to do something serious like the firecracker thing, it always ends up into something funny (armaans ghost), or something ridculed upon because the interns them selves are NOT mature any longer, its like they went back in time, and became kids again. I dont see a REAL DOCTOR in any of them anymore, even if it just acting...

I think the medical background is only their for show now, I havent seen them actulley looking at a patient in the hospital since July..and that was after a long wedding...Its more of a comedy show then anything else..

So i tthink this show should stay away from social stigmas, at least until Senior docs start acting like Senior docs, and Interns act like Interns and not wedding crashers or love gurus..

BTW: Nice topic, finnally a usefull topic around this forum!

Thanks Neelu for your reply.
I agree with you in parts.
The duration during which Armaan was shown injured due fire-crackers was quite very much serious in the initial phase, but the naughty acts of Armaan's 'ghost' in the last parts actually ruined the effort of making the initial part serious. If certain mischevious acts of Armaan like showing tongue to Dr. Keerti, etc. weren't shown, the whole part could actually become one of the best parts of DMG in terms of emotions. Remember Riddhima praying to the idol of Ganesha for Armaan ?
I think that audiences always liike to watch emotional scenes which have a different touch and finshing. And iin that terms, DMG is the best one. There is no feeling of malice among the interns, senior doctors as well as other characters.
In short, DMG has always been successful in portraying healthy emotions, which are far away from those as seen in the saas-bahu sagas.
Comedy is always welcome. Afterall, it is also a part of human emotions ! But it should be at its proper place.
Recently, the bomb blast series was quite good. The efforts that the creatvies as well the the actors put is very much appreciated. (My mom's interest in DMG was re-kindled after these episodes !)
Did you notice that the interns had really taken it up quite seriously ?
Doesn't it means that they can show such things seriously?
