Kabhi Pyaar Kabhi Taqraar Pt 1
A dark & cloudy night... Inside a hospital, there were 2 wives in different emergency rooms. They were about to deliver any minute.
In the first emergency room...
D: Nurse, humhe jald se jald operation shuru karna hai.
In the second emergency room...
Y: Aaahh!!
O: Yashoda, sambalo apne aap ko. Sirf kuchi dher ki baat hai.
The doctor comes in & does a check-up.
D: Inki delivery ka waqt hogaya. Humhe jald se jald inka operation karma hoga.
In the emergency rooms, Bhanu & Yashoda were in a lot of pain. The camera shows the black night & a loud scream was heard. The cries of the babies were echoing across the night. The clouds move over & the full moon is shown. The doctors come in with the babies wrapped around in a towel & give them to their mothers.
B: Kitni pyaari hai. Hai na?
C: Ha. Aaj Mata Rani ne, meri saari khwashian poori kardi.
Y: Bilkool chand jaise lagra hai.
O: Ab bhagwan se yehi binti hai, ki iss chand ki taara ye bhi, humara naam itna uncha le jaye.
After a couple of days, Yashoda & Bhanu got to come home. In their homes, they did a pooja for the well-being of their house & kids. After the pooja was done, the pandit's chose a letter for their names to begin with. For the boy, it was "S" & for the girl it was "K". In the Raichand's house, Komal chose the name Sumit. In the Mishra's house, Dilasa chose the name Kumkum.
5 years later...
Yashoda & Bhanu decide to take Sumit & Kumkum to the park. The weather was very nice & so was the children's mood. Once they reached the grounds to the park, Sumit & Kumkum ran away from their mothers & left to play with the other kids. Kumkum was a friendly, talkative & frank person. She said whatever was on her mind, without hiding it from anyone. Sumit on the other hand, is a shy & independent person. It takes time for him to trust & get comfortable with someone. Kumkum made herself comfortable with some of the kids & started playing with them. Sumit was playing on the swings, looking at the other kids play. He wanted to play with them, but he was scared to ask. Just then he heard Kumkum's talks.
K: Humhe ek aur khiladi chahiye.
Sumit quickly got off the swing & went to the group.
S: Kya mein khel sakta hoon?
Kumkum looked at him, then at the rest of the group. She put her hands on her hips & walked around looking at him. She came back in front of him & crossed her arms.
S: Khel sakta hoon?
K: Umm… ha. Par humara khel karab maat kar dena.
He nodded his head. Kumkum made a crown for herself & Sumit using sticks, leaves & flowers. She then told Sumit how to play the game.
K: Samj gaye na?
S: Ha.
They all started playing the game. Everything was going fine, until a boy named Rocky came.
Ro: Eh!
Everyone stopped & looked at him.
Ro: Mein khel sakta hoon?
K: Nahi. House full hai. Phir kabhi aa jaana.
Kumkum turned around. Rocky got angry & pushed Kumkum down on the ground. Kumkum fell down on the pavement hard & started bleeding.
K: Maaa!!!!
Bhanu heard her cries & ran to her. Sumit saw all this from far. Rocky was with another group of friends. He put a hand on his shoulder & turned him around.
S: Tumne Kumkum ko maara.
Ro: Ha, tho.
Sumit turned around. Rocky & the rest of the boys started laughing. He turned around & punched Rocky in the face. Rocky fell down to the ground, with both his hands on his nose. He looked at his hands & saw blood on them. He started crying.
Ro: Mummy!!!
He got up & ran away to his mom. Sumit turned around & saw his knuckles. They were bloody red & were even bleeding a little. Bhanu was keep on trying her best to make Kumkum stop crying, but she wouldn't listen to her. Sumit went up to her & sat down in front of her. He saw her knees were still bleeding. Bhanu was keep on trying to keep her still. But Kumkum would do just the opposite. Sumit was looking at her wondering what to do. He got up & took out a bracelet. He went beside Kumkum.
S: Kumkum yeh dekho.
He put the bracelet behind him. Kumkum opened her eyes, still crying.
K: Kya hai?
S: Pehle tum rona band karo.
K: Pehle tum dekhoye.
S: Pehle tum.
K: Pehle tum.
S: Tum.
K: Tum.
S: Tum.
K: Tum.
Bhanu took advantage of this & tied a cloth around her knees. Kumkum had stopped crying.
K: Dekho. Ab mein ro bhi ni ri. Ab tho dikha do.
Sumit took out the bracelet from behind. Kumkum opened her mouth in surprise.
K: Yeh… yeh kitna khoobsurat hai.
S: Tumhe acha laga.
K: Bohot.
S: Haath aage karo.
She put her hand out & Sumit put the bracelet on her.
K: Yeh tum kya kare ho?
S: Tumhe gift de ra hoon.
K: Kyun?
S: Hum roz thodi na milne wale hai. Aur mein chata hoon, ki tum jab bhi udhas ho, tab isse dekho. Phir dekh lena. Tumari saari problems udh jayengi.
K: Sach?!
S: Much.
Kumkum hugged Sumit really tightly. Bhanu looked at Sumit & mouthed Thank you to him. Sumit smiled back at her. Kumkum unhugged him. Yashoda came up to them.
Y: Sumit. Chale beta.
S: Ji, Ma.
Kumkum looked at him leave. She looked at the bracelet that he gave her.
K in her mind: Sumit ne mujhe gift diya, takhiye, mein kabhi sad na hoon. Par meine Sumit ko kuch bhi ni diya.
She tugged on her necklace. She looked at it. Looking at it, she got an idea. She took it off & ran to Sumit.
K: Sumit!
Yashoda & Sumit stopped. Kumkum stopped beside him.
S: Kumkum
K: Sumit
She put the necklace around his neck & ran away from there. Sumit looked at her confused.
Y: Sumit. Kaun thi who?
S: Ek friend.
Y: Sirf friend?
S: Sirf friend.
Sumit held onto Yashoda's hand & Kumkum Bhanu's. While they were walking, they looked back at each other & smiled. Sumit gave her a flying kiss. Kumkum blushed & gave him a flying kiss as well. They both blushed & looked back at the front. They both had the biggest smiles on their faces. The screen splits in two, with Sumit on the left & Kumkum on the right.
