Saregamapa - Is it about music?

Over the years, Sa re ga ma pa has changed from being a singing competition to a 'reality' show. Long gone the days when Sa re ga ma pa introduced us to singers like Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala... Nowadays its less singing and more drama

I wonder how a renowned and knowledgeable Shankar Mahadevan ji is a judge on this show...

Before it was Himesh with his nonsense, now the whole show is a nonsense...

Its funny how people like mauli dave was among the top 5.... and now mitika is out and asma is in... Asma you're nice and god bless you will be a good singer, but really mitika sang better than you......

Competitors are suppose to show their singing skills, now its like ok- you guys you have to say this line, act like this, dance like this and then sing.. what's the drama?

One of them crying he has to get his sisters married, and then comes the sad music in the background... Adesh asking to send rakhi....pritam and his puraan.... Aditya with his horrible costumes... Sara with her mamma, mamma and stupid childish voice... now yahsita and pratibha with choti and bari shehar...vaishali or whatever her name is with her poverty.... last year it was poonam... and wait love stories as well... aneek and sumedha...

WHAT ALL THIS?!!!!! When my european friends join me at home and if am watching saregamapa... i feel so embarassed to tell them that the show is a singing competiton... Compared to their American idol, Saregamapa is a soap where you wil get the saas bahu stuff, love happening, wars between competitors and the sad stories - people and their poverty and yeah also the dancing bit in the beginning... IS THIS A SINGING COMPETITION OR A F....... SOAP?!!!
