What happened to Mandodari after Ravan died?

I have a question I really want answered. What happened to Maharani Mandodari after her husband Ravan died? I'd really appreciate it if someone can answer!😊

I haven't read the complete epic but i'm not ready to believe that she married Vibhishan..It's so weird..She had a grown up son who was married, may be she had grand sons and grand daughters too..Why wud she re-marry ? In this Ramayan and in the old Ramayan too, Mandodari and Vibhishan were conversing like mother and son..

You know what, I am not really sure.

I don't think she married Vibshana but I remember a conversation with my mom when I was really young that in those days, if the kings died, it was customary that the queens would marry the new king for protecting the kingdom. And it wouldn't be considered a sin as they were looking into the interests on the Raj-politics. And it would protect the women who have been widowed.

Also, even though Vibshan was/still a pious man, he was in a raksha clan, so it might be a normal thing.

However, I am just speculating. I have no authentic proof but I did read that Mandodari was a Sati woman. So being a Sati women, I would think it go against her true nature to marryg again.

The age of Tretayug was very long, they use to live for 1000 years.

MANDODRI did not marry VIBHISHAN !!! get it very clear !!!!! VIBHISHAN became the king of LANKA & treated MANDODRI as his bhabhi always & always took suggestion in the matters of LANKA (official matters ) !!!! VIBHISHAN had tremendous respect for his bhabhi & considered her AADARNIYA !!!!(RESPECTED) !!!! if u guys wanna proof !!! then check the VALMIKI RAMAYAN !!!!! now plz!!!! don't create any more confusions !!!!!!

You are true, Mandodari never married Vibhishan. Its also said, Mandodari was blessed by Lord Rama, that she will never become widow as Ravan's pyre is said to burn forever.

But why are u so arrogant? I understand your emotions that you dont want to hear anything bad about Lord Rama or Krishna . You always claim to be a devotee of Lord Rama, so where is your patience and perseverence? I know after seeing this post, you are going to ask the moderators to throw me out of this forum or label me something bad.

I have seen many quotes of yours, really appreciate your way of explanation and your sincerity about updates. Leave this arrogant nature, this is my suggestion as I am elder to you.

Thank you for your explanation.😉 You are very well learned in the Ramayan, but I think you should have been a little less severe with luv_khwaish. He never said Mandodari married Vibhishan. In fact, he was saying that she did not. I understand that you are angry with the post Truth of Sugriva. So am I, but I don't think you should take your anger out on other IF memebers. After all, we are only discussing, not arguing, so be at peace my friend!😊😉

When Ravan died Mandodari recalled her husband's greatness, his invincibility, and said she always believed no man could ever bring defeat him. She referred to the fate that had planted lust for Sita in Ravana's heart, which was to lead him to death. At last, according to Kamban Ramayan, she stood up from the corpse which she had embraced, called out Ravana's name aloud, fell down, and heaved her final breath.

i also read the post titled why RAMJI not living in kutiya n all tht ,in tht post also unnecsessary a confusion was created !!! tht RAMJI living in luxuries n all just becaz of few satin curtains in his tents & RAMJI not living in hut n all ,wen the memebrs gave the reason for tht ,then too the author of tht thread luv_khwaish WAS NOT SATISFIED ,so tht shows tht members un-necessary MAKING an arguement !!!!!

yup !!! i do become harsh at times but wen someone un-necessary tries to say anything un- ethical abt our HOLY EPIC RAMAYAN !!!

as i am a coolbie(IF DEV TEAM member) ,so i sometimes hv to show my harsh attitude to the members who un-necessary TRY to disrupt the peace of the forum & create more n more confusions !!!!
