hie dear,
i'm a new member, this is my first thread. i am suddenly inspired towrite a poem for my lost love (A/R), and i hope u will like it. well, i am darrick (user name) and my real name is placid. i hope to make new and lasting friends thru dis forum.initially, i'd like to know your comment/critical appreciation on my poem. thanx.
For My Lost Love[that's when the break-up took place] đ
Oh how i long for you, dear love
it is sunset -time in summer.
i see the horizon ribboned with scarlet,
and cumulus clouds spanning space.
crimson-hued clouds.
suddenly the colours change
and a blanket of darkness covers
the sky, it is twilight.the birds
are all in the mango boughs
and their evening song
has filtered thru space,
turning into a symphony, reminding me of beeothoven's ninth symphony,
remind me of you,
and of thos esummer nights
when we lolled in our garde
whispering sweet nothings.
and the fragrance of the
lady-of-the-night
came wafting in the summer wind.
oh what a night it was. you
were close to me like riddima
and thrills ran down my spine.
i was lifted to a senth heaven
where only ecstasy stirred my heart.
your brows were smote with
the slender light of a full moon,
your lips were red like a rose.
your dark hair waved magically
in the wind, which brough me the smell
of lillies. it me me swoon. oh, not
the lillies, but you ... beside me'
the sound of your voice'
the stillness of a new night
that was slowly infolding
from the skies; the skies of summer.
it was like dream, lost in your embrace.
now all is gone.
you too have gone
