Thanx to veritaserum
| Warner Bros. has launched their Official Awards Site for 2005 in an attempt to promote several of their better-reviewed films to Academy Award voters. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is listed, of course, as it was WB's best reviewed film all year (excluding Warner Independent films). They're pushing for GOF to be nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Makeup, Best Original Score, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, and Best Visual Effects. As many of you know, no Harry Potter movie has yet been awarded with an Academy Award, but GOF will almost certainly win for Best Special Effects, and hopefully for a few others as well. |
