The creatives have committed a huge blunder in introducing this leap. I do not know their reasons but whatever it was the gross inconsistencies they brought about in the female lead's character surely did not go down well with the viewers. Kayamathians have been forced to watch a lot of illogical crap tracks beginning with PIM but never during all these tracks were there such large inconsistencies in the characters. Yes, Prachi was portrayed as a dumb sacrificial lamb who would go to great lengths to protect her loved ones even if in the process the persons she is protecting end up suffering much more had she not interfered. But she was always shown to be unwavering in what she believed. More often than not she was blamed for being stubborn and pig headed. The way she refused to divulge Suki's secret even when Suki herself asked her to do it was an example of that. If there is one thing she would never do is to accept anybody in Milsi's place for whatever reason. This is the same woman who cut herself up to avoid getting engaged to her childhood sweet heart. Yet they made this woman mouth stupid dialogues that Proteek was her life when she had very clearly told Milsi that her marriage was her life. If they had showed this guy saving her and losing his wife in the process, Prachi's sense of duty to his family could be made more believable. Unfortunately everything was so botched up. So having dug themselves a nice big hole, how can the creatives get out of it?
Well, the way I see it a lot of repair work has to be done and further damage should not be done to Prachi's already battered character. The one thing which will be totally unacceptable is to show Prachi agreeing to make this fake relationhip a reality for any reason. Any reason will not be good enough to justify that. A woman who said that she will never accept anybody in Milsi's place cannot be shown to cow down to a sense of duty for the simple reason that it is not a simple case of duty versus love but duty+love on the one hand versus just some false sense of duty to this new family. She owes it to her son to be raised by his own father. She owes it to her husband who has been pining and suffering all these years because of her foolishness. Yes, people will be hurt in the process. The worst would be the two children. For this they need to do some drastic things. Maybe they can show Proteek ill-treating Sumanto once Prachi refuses him categorically. It is not uncommon for step-fathers to do so. After all this man is only a fake step-father. That still leaves the issue of Suproteek. Now they can show this boy getting swayed by the vamp's machinations and going against Prachi. That will make the heart break less when it is time for Prachi to leave. Anyway the guy has a house full of relatives who can take care of him. Even otherwise they have not shown any great bonding between Prachi and this boy. Leaving behind the rest of the circus gang including machar should not be a problem since she had left her real family for the sake of Milind. Now leaving this one for not only Milind's sake but that of his son's should not be a life shattering decision.
Having slaughtered Prachi's character in the first couple of days, this is the least the creatives can do to redeem her, though marginally. She needs to be shown to have no doubts as to where her loyalties lie.
Once she goes back to Milsi, he needs to make her pay for ditching him at the railway platform and not bothering to find out how he was doing in all these years.
In my opinion this can be the only solution to the mess these guys have created.
