Movies and an in-the-spotlight-love life are not the only things keeping Kareena Kapoor busy. Her various brand endorsements make up for a sizeable chunk of her hectic schedule. The Globus brand ambassador recently shot for their Winter '08 collection at, where else but Paris!
A spokesperson says, "Her schedule did not allow us to shoot anywhere else but at Mehboob
studios. But when she saw the reference images a month back, she realised that the collection would be a rage and cancelled her shoots and agreed to shoot for us in Paris."
When you are at one of the most fashionable places on the planet, you better be looking your best. The campaign ensured that Kareena looked like the star that she is. From her end, the actress glammed up the brand's dresses, jackets and vintage tops.
Kareena was styled in dresses with wide belts and knitted tops. She also carried off a wide range of colours like wintry darks, wines and combinations of yellow and orange. The best Parisian hair and make-up artistes worked on Kareena for the campaign. Photographer Suresh Natarajan then captured the star's style, with Alexander Bridge, the Opera, the Ritz-Carlton and the streets of Paris as the backdrop.
At Paris, it's practically a crime to be without your beloved. Boyfriend Saif Ali Khan realised this and took the chance to be with Kareena on the shoot at the city of lights. Needless to say, the photos of his girl looking fabulous in an 'international' looking shoot, left him speechless.
A crewmember says, "For the last shot, Kareena looked so good, that Saif said that he must take a photograph with her in front of the Eiffel Tower. Later, they had a dinner date and he asked her not to change because she looked really nice!"
Birthday Girl
Kareena Kapoor, who turns 27 today, will be shooting in Ladakh with Aamir Khan for Rajkumar Hirani's Three Idiots on her birthday.
Bebo's beau Saif Ali Khan, who will join her on her big day, has planned a surprise for her. What Kareena wishes for most on her birthday is sleep. "I have barely had a day off in the last two years and all I want to do is sleep, sleep and sleep!" she exclaims, on location for her shoot.
Incidentally, yoga enthusiast Kareena has had to skip her routine because the chilly weather in Ladakh makes her body too stiff to do her asanas.
