Varun-Rajeshwari to be knocked off Nach

With all the hullabaloo that has surrounded Nach Baliye, what comes as a suprise is the elimination of one of the favourite couples from the celeb talent hunt. According to sources, Thursday's episode will see the ouster of Varun and Rajeshwari who were considered strong contenders for the Nach Baliye title. The source adds Varun performed well but went blank after a few minutes, "He just stood still, as if he didn't know what to do next". Hence, their getting knocked off the show has to deal with their apparent no-show on the stage than a close fight over votes on SMS. Nach Baliye, a television dance competition that later developed into a drama of accusations, walk-outs and heated debates, comes to an end next week.

And as expected, the channel Star One continues to remain tight-lipped over possible outcomes, generating curiosity thereby. Thursday night's episode is the semi-final round of the popular programme. According to sources, "The three contestant couples will perform dances which will be rated by the judges alone. The audience vote will not be counted in the judging process." Apart from performances by contestants, Bollywood heart-throb Shahid Kapoor will also shake a leg. Anchors Sangeeta Ghosh and Shabir Ahluwalia will join the troupe of dancers as well.

The source adds, "The final round that will be telecast on December 15, will not only have the final two pairs of contestants proving they are the best, but also the eight eliminated couples, who will come back on the show (not to compete, of course). Malaika Arora will set the floor on fire once again with a sizzling number.

"The contestants will be made to perform back-to-back through three rounds. In the first round, the ladies and the men will compete against each other separately. In the second round, the first couple will compete against the second, and in the third round, the couples will perform individually.

"The final round will declare winners only on the basis of audience votes. The judges will not have a say here. Thus, after the performances, the audience would be given an hour to cast their votes.

"At the end of the hour, the couple with the maximum votes will be declared winners. The final episode will be two and half hours long, concluding with the 10 couples dancing to the Nach Baliye title track."
