It's women power on Grahasti

Women rule the small screen and there is no doubt about it. Unlike men who are the heroes of the big screen, it is not the case with our ladies of the small screen. Women play a major part in the storyline; we are talking especially of daily soaps, where everyday situations are shown and definitely women are so much a part and parcel of it and are given a lot of importance as compared to men. And so is it evident in our soaps and now Grihasti is also getting into that line.

Star Plus' afternoon show, Grahasti, is set for a befitting re-launch as the homely women (the female protagonists) of the show take complete charge of their lives and transcend new boundaries beyond their duties at home.

In a surprising turn of events, the six women of the Khurana household Amrit (Vaidehi Amrute), Rano (Aarti Singh), Simar (Khushbu Singh), Sohni (Hunar Ali), Nacchattar Bua (Sunila Khambelkar) and Teji Nani (Sulekshana Khatri) take over the reins of the family business and the day-to-day affairs of the house in their control!

The women give it all that it takes to fulfill the challenges thrown by their "Tauji" (Shahbaaz Khan) and emerge victorious! Breaking away from the traditional norms, the women attempt to create a place for themselves in a male dominated society. This refreshed story will unravel as the strength of each of these characters is highlighted during various phases.

What will happen when the women of the Khurana family join hands in an attempt to find their true identity in a male-dominated society?
