I've been a little behind in watching the past few episodes and now after finally having caught up😆😆, had a few thoughts on the 2nd Sept epi in particular:
a) Bakhtiyar and Chaitanya's table dance: As everyone knows by now, the dance was practically a step by step recreation of Aamir-Sanjeeda's act from NB3 which by itself is also copied from the show 'So you think you can dance.' However, the fact also remains that the girls have repeated performances from previous shows multiple times as well, so both sides are doing this 'copying' bit equally.😉......Coming back to the act, I really enjoyed the first few minutes with the mirror image, which I don't recall seeing in A-S's dance in NB3 so that was good atleast.
Now basing purely on the performances in that round (keeping the whole issue of a copied performance aside) the boys were no doubt better and deserved to win. Just my opinion😊....I do think though that even if Malaika wasn't the judge on NB3 last season and the boys thought they could get away with it for that reason😆....I do think she instantly recognized it like she'd seen it before....she was overly careful with her comments as well....maybe for that reason😕
b) Ashita vs. Vikas-Jazz: Ashita was good, but agreeing with Malaika for a bit here....very repetitive steps which I felt I had seen from her many times before....and also that she doesn't really 'finish' her moves as was pointed out....now I don't really know any technicalities of what Jazz is supposed to be and all....but I frankly didn't see too much of it in her performance😕....seemed more filmy than jazz to me.
Vikas impressed me a lot....unexpectedly😆😆....In the past, during the Khallas round with Mouni, he definitely deserved to be khallased despite his brave attempt at Kathak....however this is one time I felt injustice was done with him. Again, I don't know the technicalities but I think he was very good with what he portrayed...and it truly seemed much more like jazz than Ashita's performance did.....I have NO idea what the hell Malaika meant by saying she found it funny?!😕😕....I would love to be enlightened...where exactly was the funny bit?😕.....I thought it was an excellently conceptualized and well performed act👏.....Vikas deserved to win this one....Both the judges are so confused sometimes😕
c) Manish's item girl in heels act: Hands down the most hilarious thing I've seen on this show🤣.....a very close second to Amit-Vikas's I love you performance...I have never laughed as hard as when Amit picked Vikas in his arms and then later fell off the stage🤣🤣🤣
But coming back to Manish....my GOD!! First, he deserves a round of applause👏 for just being able to CARRY off those deadly heels yaar!! I could never do that!😆😆😆....and uske baad kya patakha moves!!😲😆😆.....My favorite bit was when he was parodying Mouni's item act and did the same moves that she did when she went up to the boys table.....hilarious stuff!🤣🤣🤣
All in all, this has to be the most unique and innovative dance show I've seen on Indian T.V. in quite a while...so kudos to them for that👏👏👏.....I don't think any of the other shows out there can boast of the kind of variety and excellent dancing that there is on this show....it's a very rare combination of variety and great dancing exploring such varied forms of dance....I'm enjoying every bit of it....May the best men/women win!😉😆
