comedy-romance shows

My 12 year old daughter is a little sad. Yet another of the shows she liked has ended - Kuch is Tarah. She also liked Kareena Kareena, Jab Love Hua all in the comedy-romance genre. So how come these shows have a very short life unlike the other Saas-Bahu serials etc. While I hate shows being dragged along without any meaning, the ending to Kuch is Tarah was way too abrupt and senseless. Okay TV creatives do come up with a new show which has a funny and sweet love story at the same time.
