Manoj Bohra. Up until a few months ago, this was a little-known name, familiar perhaps only to those who were avid Shararat or Kusum fans. From the moment that he burst on to our T.V screens as Prerna and Anurag's long-lost son Prem, we were caught hook, line and sinker, simple as that. His attitude, dress sense and style were and are uniquely compelling and drew us all in, like moths to a flame. Day in, day out, people tuned in to see what UD--or Prem, whichever you prefer--would do next. His chemistry with his mom Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) is so electric that it sends shivers down our spines. His ever-changing sense of morality keeps us on our toes, making us alternately excited and frustrated. Fans all over the world love this guy for his good looks and the freshness he brings to the show.

When I first read that Rakshak Sawhney (original Kavya) was the inital choice for our beloved Prem, I was more than just a little surprised. Without detracting from that actor's qualities, I must confess that I cannot picture him in this role--at least not with the same panache and energy that Manoj brings to the character. This is an indication of Manoj's success in making this character his own and making it believable. I can safely say that Rakshak's loss is not only Manoj's gain, but also the audience's good fortune. The creation of this sticky topic is proof enough of Manoj's popularity with his fans, and I thank everyone whole-heartedly for making this possible.

I think Manoj fans have waited long enough for this sticky post, so I will stop now and let you guys get on with it. Let the adulations commence...
