She DID NOT shwo her acting skills in OSO. The movie was mostly about SRK and they wern't really paying any attention to her- thats what I felt. I just watched it again recently and they hardly showed her and her dialouges were minium. I think she got hyped of because she was a SRK FILM & I guess she danced well. I don't wanna sound like i'm hating on her- because i'm not .. but seriously in OSO all she did was wave to her fans & dance.

I havn't seen BAH and i'm not intending on watching it eitherr. But, my friends saw it and they were like she only had a SMALL little role! I was a BIT shocked but .. then again Bipasha & Manissha are a TAD BIT more experienced then her so I guess it evens out in the end.

Overall, I just think I need to see her in a role which is big enough for me to judge her acting. For instance, the role Katrina Kaif had in Namastey London- I think she needs to get a role like that to PROVE herself. As for ALL THOSE awards she got last year it was because she was in a blockbuster moviee! She has to PROVE her ACTING SKILLS and much moree. I'm sure she's not just a pretty face but I guess I won't be too sure untill she proves herself in bollywood like Priyanka, Kareena, Karishma, Ashwariya, Preity etc. :)

100 per agree. Deepika is way overhyped. IMO she is not even that beautiful. The only thing I find impressive about her is her record of boyfriends at the age of 22.

Katrina has been accused of nonacting, but if anyone suited the role to a T -of Jasmeet in Namaste London, it was Katrina. I was quite imprssed cuz NL was the first Kat film I watched, and I couldn't understand why the critics were so critical of her.

I haven't watched BAH as yet so I can't comment on that. But I thought she was good in OSO and had plenty of screen presence in that movie. Most of the awards she received I guess were based on an audience poll. So I guess she is really popular among the masses. I would not discount her as yet...she is still very new to the industry. Am waiting for a movie where she has a bigger role. Just hope she does well and lives up to the hype. She seems like a hardworking girl.

Wow..I agree wid most of the ppl..here..especially Madiha and friends_rock..

In OSO..she looked really really gorgeous..and pretty..and she hd a less role..in d movie..!!bt she dances pretty well..n hs a gud body..and can emote very well through her eyes..Her eyes..says..it all..!!bt she dint get..to act so much..OSO ws an entertaining movie..!!It ws all abt SRK..n Deepika..ws thr for a less tym..tb she made her presence felt in tht movie..

In Bah..I ws actually disappointed..wid her..She luks gorgeous in the movie..!!bt I donno..I dint really lyk..her speech delivery in d movies..bt she luked really gud wid Ranbir..

She hs acted in onli 2 movies..She needs her..tym..n acc to me..she is doing pretty well nw..She hs to brush up her acting skills a bit..BEst of luck to her..in future😛

And today indian cimema is all about commercial cinema.. rarely ppl like SLB make artistic movies soo maybe after Katrina people r preferring deepika...

She has a very long way to go for sure.. and not to forget that she belongs from a non filmi background so it will definitely take sometime for her to prove her acting abilities..and hardwork definitely pays off in the end..she is such a hardworking girl.. only 22 years old with so much success.
