Shweta Tiwari gets up close and personal

"My life as a single parent isn't easy. Just because I don't scream from the roof top, that does not mean that it has been a bed of roses. I value my privacy and I don't like it when people invade my space. I would like to ask the same people who are walking all over me, how would they like it if their private space is invaded?

Just because you are a celebrity, does not raise the bar to have your life splattered all over Page 3. My life is a not a fodder for other people's amusement..." says an anguished Shweta Tiwari who says, "I am going through a divorce and it is something that I would not like to talk about".

Shweta married Raja Chaudhry, whose claim to fame at the moment, other than the fact that he abused his wife, is Bigg Boss. A year after their marriage, Shweta gave birth to her daughter Palak and as recently as 2007, she filed a complaint in the police against Raja alleging domestic violence. In a interview post her rise to fame as Prerna, commenting on her marriage, she had said, "I have been married to Raja Choudhary and I am very clear about my priorities. Raja is the most co-operative husband I could have hoped for. He trusts me absolutely. I don't go to parties unless I am accompanied by him. I have faced all controversies with a smile because of my husband's moral support and trust!"

But today, the lady in question does a volte face. "It was a mistake...and mistakes happen. But I have Palak who is the bright light at the end of my tunnel."

Playing hide and seek with the media, Shweta would much rather prefer talking about her work. I have a lot going in for me professionally. And I want to make the most out of it while the going is still good. Our profession is so unpredictable...I don't want to risk it all. That's where the responsibility of being a single parent kicks in. The balancing act gets tough, but at the end of the day, I go to bed as a peaceful and content woman.

As for her ex husband, Raja Chaudhry being locked away in the Bigg Boss, she chose not to comment, veering our discussion to her judging her reality show and talking about her Punjabi movie which is nearly done and slated to be released. But we hear from our close sources that Shweta couldn't be happier with the turn of events. Being locked away for three months is a blessing in disguise for Shweta, according to our close source.

Currently playing a negative role in 9x's Ajeeb, she shrugs off her goody Miss Two shoes 'Prerna' image and dons the avataar of a superstar who is out to destroy someone. For someone who had earlier quoted saying, "I am concentrating on the big screen and would like to keep away from TV. A source close to her says, "Ajeeb happened because Shweta is very close to the production house. They consider her a lucky mascot and it was very difficult not to agree to this role".

Superstitious about talking of her Hollywood and Bollywood projects, she would prefer to veer our conversation towards the assignment in hand. A loner, yet an optimist, Shweta Tiwari is truly enigmatic...because her eyes speak the truth that we would like to write about, but her words hold a different meaning.
