Yuppers, the first twelve chapters of Meyer's newest venture "Midnight Sun" were leaked online.

To me, it seems like it was done as an "oops" for drawing attention from the negative reviews garnered by Breaking Dawn. How would it get leaked otherwise?

hmmm ..

is it offcial that thats midnight sun, like those are the real chapters.

if steph says that thats it then I guess I'll believe it.

i agree it could be a fanfic.

^^ The leaked file contains scans, conjoined in PDF format. From what I've heard, the first chapter is exactly like the one on Stephenie's website - only scanned - so I'd say it is pretty authentic.

If this is true then I also believe that it might have been done to patch up for the negative comments that Breaking Dawn has received! Personally I enjoyed it! Well thats another issue!

I agree with you, how can it just be leaked?...

Though I would love to read it, just feel bad about it seeing as it is a copyright breach!

It's kind of suspicious because BD was leaked all over the internet before it's release, the Twilight script was leaked and now Midnight Sun... if it isn't done on purpose, she's not very careful.

Giving Meyer the benefit of doubt, it could be that Robert, who also read it, let his script carelessly laying around and someone else - probably the production people - found it and put it on the internet, in hopes of gaining the trust of Twilighters they've lost since the movie is so close to release.

I know exactly what you mean about seeing it as a copyright breach. Personally, I'm going to buy the book anyways - I can't abide by the idea of reading it without paying for it >.<

😳 Wow, I had no clue BD was also leaked before its release as well... and now 12 chapters of Midnight Sun?! I wonder how these things happen, it's really sad... Personally, I'm looking more forward to Midnight Sun more than I was for Breaking Dawn, and I can't wait to read it... but I don't want to read something before it's released; that's not fair to Stephenie, to all the readers, to everyone... sad that it was leaked. I didnt know about this, I havent seen any article on it either!

Oooo! I neva knew that BD was leaked either! But its a shame really! But by the sound of it..it had to kinda be an insider who has leaked it all...coz if it happened to like BD as well..then theres deffo something fishy going on! LOL!

I;m actually really looked forward to reading Midnight sun! I read the first chapter on SM site and it like helped me understand Edward really well so i can't wait till i get the book!
