Didnt he name the plant ami-rose since armaan has given it to him??

Ek ladki kya chod gayi Atul toh ladkiyo ke peeche hi hai...usne bichaare ami-rose ko AMITA bana diya

Ami to Amita...I guess after Armaan 'betrayed' him, well coz now he thinks its all Armaans fault, so he's changed the name
