"Aalekh dar gaya hoga" or something very similar was said by Ambika today, which again points towards her being negative, as when the door closed Aalekh did get frightened, but no one was there.

Instead of believing in Aalekh like Sadhna did, she is trying to stress that Aalekh is not stable and does not know what he is saying.

Not only that... Avni's little scene after Sadhna's scolding, and Ambika's explaination of having gone to a mandir are so obviously screaming to us that the creatives are trying to steer us away from thinking Ambika is behind it and trying to make us believe Avni is.

Like u said, her explaination for where the knife came from was definitely an attempt from Ambika to try to stop Sadhna from probing into the matter any further.

Thats right Kru, i think Avni is only playing the Devrani / Jethani game in which she wants to be the apple of Vasu's eye and wants Sadhna to be the bad one.
