Ganga did love Saagar from the beginning! But Ganga thought that Saagar betrayed her, when she found a letter in his jacket written by Kaveri! When Ganga reads this letter, Saagar has gone to arrange for a wedding for him and Ganga! When he is coming back, Madan (the village goon) tries to kill Saagar!! So Saagar is in the ditch during the night! While Madan accidently pushes Ganga down a cliff! Saagar wakes up and goes to Ganga's mum, Ganga's mum tells Saagar that Ganga is dead! But Khurana uncle (Kaveri's dad) finds Ganga in haridwar, and lets her stay in his home and gives her a new name Jhanvi! Saagar goes to London for work, while Ganga gets close with his brother (not knowing that it's his brother)! Shekhar( Saagar's brother) falls in love iwth her!! SO Saagar tells Jahnvi to marry Shekhar (not knowing she is Ganga) Jhanvi/Ganga agrees! Saagar is returning from London and when he reaches Mumbai, he has an accident and looses his eyesight! On the day Saagar returns, Ganga learns that Saagar is Sunny (the nickname given by his brother and Kaveri)! So Ganga tries to run away, Khurana uncle stops her and learns about this, so Ganga agrees to marry Shekhar! On the day of Shekhar's wedding, Saagar regains his eyesight and learns Jhanvi is Ganga, he calls Shekhar to stop the wedding! Ganga is shocked at this and tries to tell Shekhar the truth of her loving Saagar, but while she is telling him this, he is murdered (by a killer hired by Saagar's dad and brother)! Then Ganga pretends to have married Shekher, to catch Shekher's killer!!
