Raunak was never a serious 'love interest' for Kasturi. She married him in difficult circumstances when Robbie rejected and it was a 'samjhauta' as Raunak himself said several times. It was just Kasturi who believed in her marriage vows and was grateful to Raunak for saving her that she remained faithful. The real couple is and has always been Robbie and Kasturi- all their instincts as for instance when he was in a coma or in a wheel chair - his feeling was for Kasturi.
