time and time again girls and guys from America or foreign countries are depicted as ill-mannered, stubborn, stuck-up, and egotistic....especially girls! Veera is the prime example...why is she so stuck-up? I'm from America and most of my friends and I can be classified as more traditional and "Indian" then many girls from India themselves...so why this stereotype?...why this msinterpretation? obvisouly this is not to hurt anyone's sentiments so please do give your views!

i don't think that's what is shown. after all, prem and preet and kulraj-di are also from "foreign" shores. but they are shown as superb people?

most often it looks like they have rude/egotistical rich people. example, mr. rampal -- who you have to admit is shown to be as weird as ... actually, i can't even tell what is as weird as mr. rampal.

so i hope you can take off the burden of being put under a label or anything. unless of course, you are rude and egotistical. in which case, keep the label on!! 😆

Now coming back to your question, hmm..I don't know the general case, but I guess in this particular serial what Estee said is true...Veera happens to be just one of her kind, nothing to do with her Canada origins though...
