Cap horn!
Aryan Vaid fought to keep his cap on during a visit to the ISKCON temple, even taking the fight up to the trustees. We wonder why

On Tuesday evening, Aryan Vaid (Duryodhan of Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Hamaaray Mahabharaat Ki) had a run-in with the authorities when he visited the ISKCON temple in Juhu.

It began when Aryan was asked to remove his cap to seek the blessing of the gods. An eyewitness said, "Aryan, who was wearing a cap, entered the temple at about 6.45 pm. A security guard stopped him at the steps of the temple and told him to remove his cap. Aryan refused to do so.

That's when the security guard directed him to the head priest, who insisted that he take off his cap. At this, Aryan got upset and took the matter to the temple trustees. They too stood their ground. Eventually Aryan left the place in a huff."

When contacted, Aryan said, "The security guy was very rude to me. To top it, the head priest also refused to budge. They all said 'of you don't remove your cap, how will God bless you? I was flabbergasted."

As an afterthought, Aryan added, "Are Sardars asked to remove their turbans when they seek blessings in ISKCON temple? There were so many women who had covered their heads with their pallu, why weren't they asked to unveil their head?"

ISKCON Temple
When contacted, Govind Prabhu, General Manager, ISKCON temple said, "We don't ask Sardars to remove their turbans since it is sacred to them.

If Aryan was told to remove his cap in the temple, it must have been said casually. But yes, we do ask people to remove their caps before entering the temple, especially if it is a fancy one."

In the ruckus, did Aryan finally get a darshan? "Yes, I did. But I had to remove my cap. After all, I cannot displease God," said Aryan.
