Hi All, I was away for so long from the forum, and was thrilled when I got mail from Bhavna. Bhavna, who tempted me to write a SS. As I explained to her, i have absolutely no clue what is going on in KS any longer. so I will stick with the old romance b/ween Jai and Bani.
Hope you enjoy, and please pass comments. It gives me inspiration to continue or end.
His eyes scanned the room for her but she was nowhere to be seen. He felt strange. Why would the whereabouts of Bani bother him? He made it clear that he hated her, so why the sudden concern. With those same thoughts, he descended the stairs and joined his family.
Bani stood in the shadows, surveying the scene before her. Such hypocrites she thought. Here they were the Walia family, who a week ago took joy in humiliating her. Blaming her and calling her the worst names, she had ever heard. Her husband?s scorn and anger burned her heart. She felt nauseous looking at him. His doting sister and a bevy of society woman surrounded him. She cringed. If she had not loved him so much, it would be bearable. However, she did love him, and she hated herself the more for it.
She looked at her husband intently. Etching every inch of his handsome face in her memory banks. The face that she longed to caress, but could not even touch. His athletic body, that was taught and straight. The body she dreamt off every night. His muscular shoulders that she craved to lay her head on. She would remember him like that in the days to com, when she was alone and sad. Her husband who she could easily have regarded as a beast but nonetheless a beast she found her self loving totally and unconditionally.
Scared of her threatening tears, she walked out into the dark night looking for peace and solace under the sparkling stars.
She stood looking into the pond as though she was searching for answers in its deep depths. Nothing came. She was glad that Massi knew the true reasons of her marriage to Jai. There need not be any pretence any more. In addition, it was because of that truth, that she was able to stay out of Jai?s path without raising any questions. After his outburst at her ?assumed? pregnancy, Bani had even moved out of their bedroom, actually, he had thrown her out of his bedroom. She wondered how her simple life had become so complicated and miserable. Gazing into the sky above, she asked God aloud to guide her and make her strong and bold to stay true to the decision she was about to make. Jai Walia would gladly divorce her. He had made it clear that she was not needed in his life. If not Pia then it would be Roshini, or someone else that was ready and willing to fill that void. She just needed time. Time and a firm resolve to be brave. She needed to be out of his life physically, the emotional attachments she could deal with later.
However, Jai Walia was concerned about Bani. After his outburst at her, and the truth of their marriage exposed, she had withdrawn further into a shell. In hindsight throwing her out of his room was the worst thing he had done. He had broken her, he knew that, and it troubled him immensely. Why had she not fought back? Why did she accept his wrath? Her absence was supposed to give him peace, but instead he was restless without her.
Where in hell was she? Breaking away from the crowd, he walked towards the large French windows in an effort to clear his thoughts. Lighting up his cigarette he saw her silhouette near the pond. The garden lamps bathed her in its warm glow. She had on an ever so sheer pink sari. As she bent to tug at a rose, her back became exposed. Her blouse was a bikini top, tied with thin strings and held fast with a silver clip. Something stirred in Jai. Flicking the un-smoked cigarette on the recently manicured lawn, he focussed his eyes on her. He needed to inhale deeply as he felt an unfamiliar stirring within him. Unknowingly he took a step closer. By now all rational thought escaped him. All he could concentrate on now was the woman in front of him. The seductively clinging sari enhanced her perfect figure. Her creamy skin glowed in the silvery moonlight. As she arched her back to break off the bud, her midriff was exposed showing off her extremely flat stomach.
As she stood up again, a thick curtain of glossy black hair hid the enchanted view. Jai Walia took one look at his wife and something primeval shot through him.
Bani, sensing someone watch her, turned around. Jai stood still gaping at his wife. The front of her sheer sari exposed the blouse even further. Through the sheer fabric, he could see that her perfectly shaped breasts were separated by another simple clasp. He noticed that her short blouse exposed almost all of her midriff.
Bani wanted to go back. She did not want to be anywhere close to Jai in order for him to pick on her again.
If only she knew what exactly she was doing to her husband! Jai sucked in his breath as she approached him. He noticed too that her face was so translucent, just a hint of make up, not like Jigyasa?s war paint he mused. Her lips full and inviting with a tinge of pink lip gloss. Her eyes made up seductively with kohl. Jai looked at his wife for the first time as a woman and felt real desire.
As she strode up, she ignored him. She walked hurriedly past him , to escape amongst the crowds. He wanted to reach out and touch her, stop her from leaving him, however her hurried steps prevented him from doing so. Instead, he was left standing there wafting in the seductive perfume she wore.
Bani found Massi almost immediately. They chatted and laughed. Bani, Massi, Dadi, uncle Adi and Rano had their own group and seemed to be having the most fun. Jai rejoined the party with mixed emotions. Suddenly the loud music, the chatter and the voices calling out to him sounded far and distant. He had a mission He sought out Bani.
She felt uncomfortable. Instinctively she felt his presence. He seemed only inches away from him. In fact he really was inches away from her, because she could feel his body heat engulf her. Suddenly she became fearful.
What had she done now? Was he going to embarrass her again, in front of this huge crowd? She tried to think of the wrong things she did recently and nothing befitting his anger came to mind.
She crept towards Massi for security. Surely he wouldn?t do anything to her in front of Massi, she reasoned. But Jai knew what she was up to and moved before her, creating a wall between her and Massi.
She looked up to him anxiously, waiting for the rhetoric to begin, but was startled to find chocolate brown eyes looking back at her.
Bani was in turmoil. She couldn?t seem to get far enough from Jai when he would suddenly be close to her. Nothing was said between them, it was just the language of sight. His probing and daring, hers scared and shielding. He seemed to be everywhere within sight of her. Never behind her. His presence dared her to look at him. She sensed that her husband was playing a game or being spitefully menacing. With added determination she dared to do the same. Suddenly the shy and coy Bani became bold. With Rano in tow, she mingled amongst the guest, talking to them, enquiring about their health, their business and children.
If Mr Walia was going to fault her for being an insensitive and cold hostess she was going to prove him wrong. Her amiable and friendly nature was soon encouraged, and before long she was chatting and laughing, blissfully unaware of the jealously that was eating her husband.
But Jai was not bothered about the laughs and chatter. Bani was always courteous and pleasant. It was the unashamed, unabashed looks that she was getting from the men that were irking him. It seemed that he was not the only hot blooded male that noticed that Bani was not just a friendly hostess, but a sexy beautiful and exceeding appealing woman too.
Hope you enjoyed.
