Waaris resembles which movie ?

First time that I have written on this forum. I have not seen all the episodes of this serial but have managed to catch up with the promos and a few scenes here and there. Given this background, here are my 2 cents. This has been compared with Sarkaar and all movies. But I have a feeling that this movie resembles 'Yalgaar' more. Now this movie Yalgaar I believe released in 90s and had Sunjay Dutt (elder son), some newbie as the 2nd son, Kabir Bedi as the day and Monisha Koirala as the 2nd son's GF and Naghma as the elder DIL. Here also the elder son tries hard to emulate his dad but is very short tempered. Ignores his pregnant wife. 2nd son is off in college. The couple of differences that I see from the movie is that the movie had a strong police track (starring Feroz Khan & Co) and am not sure if this serial has any. The 2nd difference being that the 2nd son in the movie knows that the dad is involved in underworld activies but is away as he does not like it while I believe in this serial the 2nd son does not know itself. The 3rd difference is the 1st and 2nd sons are step brothers in the movie while in the serial it can go any way. So it depends to be see how this inspiration turns out to be.

buddys these movies like sarkar,yuva all came from god father movie sop god father is the main theme and first in movie industry....sop this soap is going in the steps of god father😕

I feel its sort of a mix of Jaane Tu and Sarkar :)

Now that you have mentioned Yalgaar, I think Waaris is closest to that. Snajay Dutt's character dies in the end, right? I dont want that for Shankar😭 But i see a lot of movies influence in this show... there is Sarkar & Yuva. For some strange reason Shaurya reminds me of Shashi Kapoor's character in Deewar... I can see him becoming an IAS/IPS officer and standing infront of RPS and Shankar😆
