It's basically a matter of one's personality and attitude that makes a marriage work!!!
Ours is a love marriage and...its going great for over a decade.
I am not against arranged marriages butI prefer love marriage simply because I don't like to GAMBLE 😉
Plus, they say- Aake duniya mein ...agar pyaar na kiya toh kya kiya!
Seriously we only have one life...and I would rather have a "say" in my life's most important decision ...I would like to know the person before I decide to spend the rest of my life with him.
And some of my friends that preferred arranged marriages...had the logic- if something goes wrong later ...at least they can go back to the parents and hold them responsible. But I personally find that logic ..pretty weak. How does it help - if you have someone else to blame...does it make the situation any better?
I would rather blame myself ...than blame someone else ....esp. my dear parents would be the last people on this earth that I would like to blame.
And trust me - You don't have to be desperate...love finds its way- you'll know when the Right one will come you way!
And if both of you get the correct vibes and are confident about your choice-LOVE marriage can always be Arranged😉...afterall... parents just want their kids to be happy.
You do have to make an extra effort in a love-mariage to work ...as you don't have a back door.
Instead of the trademark "dhamaki" - Mein maayke chali jaaong......you BEHAVE 😆😆

thanks naina di (i wud luv to call u di;since u r elder to me)...ur words are highly appreciable....and i will remember dem in my near future as a beautiful advice.....thanks a lot!!!!

Statistically corrrect 👍🏼 But it's important to remember that people in love marriages are in a better position to make decisions for themselves. So if the marriage is troubled, they can split easily. But for arranged marriages, a divorce could also require consent from the parents and other people involved. Don't you agree?

Generally speaking, what may appear successful from the outside might be completely different in reality. If success means that 2 people get married and are never separated, then arranged marriages are doing well. But this 'success' is not necessarily an indicator of a happy marriage. And, there are more arranged marriages in our part of the world compared to love marriages, so no wonder arranged marriages appear statistically strong.

At the end of the day, a marriage is really about 2 people. That's how it should be, I don't mean to say that you leave your families and all that.
