hello friends😃..
well it has afterall been brought to my attention that no matter what you do in life, either good or bad, there's always a question mark about one's educational background. for reasons still unknown to us, Shankar is the one son who was not sent to school. he does not blame his parents for that. instead, he has accepted his duty as a settled "don" and he tries to shield his family as much possible.
he has an unconditional love and respect for his family, yet he's a simple man, with simple dreams. he dreams of providing his child with the level of education that he was deprived for. and i am very sure he doesn't want his child to turn up a killer.
he has the potential needed to be chosen as the real waaris, but because he is hot tempered and reacts upon his family instincts, he might be denied the right. so does it really matter that one has the potential, or is it only the triumph of education? if you were in Shankar's place, would you feel betrayed by your father, or would you just accept the simple fact that you lack something that your other siblings have?😕

hmm thats a good question. im not sure about whether shankar wud feel betrayed or not. although the show is in its initial stages, we r already aware of the love he has for his family. Shankar had mentioned in the first episode that he wanted his child to become like shaurya n not like him. so if his father chooses shaurya to be the "potential waaris" then it might seem to shankar that his own child is being made into something that he wasnt meant to be (i hope u understand what im trying to say lol).
Shankar was taken out of school to be with his father n shaurya is in higher education but hes rudra's choice. if that was to happen, then y differentiate between the two? y does one gain a better lifestyle n education while the other wasnt fortunate enough to receive that? hmm gets u thinking. ok maybe im looking too much into it😆
Shankar doesnt seem like someone who wud get jealous if his bro gets chosen, but yeah he seems like someone whos protective n wudnt want his brother in such a situation as he is aware of this lifestyle n the dangers that come with it.

Thanks Zara for this topic.. Interesting one 😃

Education is very important... Education isnt just about acquiring knowledge... It impacts your way of life, it brings about a method in your thought process... one becomes more rational. When u have formal education... u grow as a person as well... U learn camaraderie , U learn to compete with a healthy attitude, you handle peer pressure... all this you get only from a formal education. Education is indispensable... which is why every developing country stress on it for becoming a developed country. So yes, Education is very important.

In this story... until now it is not clear as to what lead to Shankar being deprived of education... I dont even know if the guy has passed off his primary school... why will a father pull out a child from school who is 13 years old and give him a gun instead?😕 We need to wait for that clarification. Yes, Shankar being deprived of education has had its effects... may be if he was educated, he would be more rational... as he would think of a lot more options... lot more legal options to trap his enemy... than just think of eliminating him. From what his mother said about Shankar's hotheadedness... he probably picked up a fight when he was small child... may be he cant compete well😕 But listening to his parents talk about Shankar's hotheadedness... it felt like the anger couldnt be reined... it is not that they havent tried telling him at every instance not to react like that... but it felt like Shankar cant help reacting like that... somekind of chemical locha in his dimak😕 May be as a child, shankar needed professional help to help him gain control over his anger. And if Shankar cant control his anger... it is too big a hindrance en route to inherit his dad's legacy... and it is too dangerous. And if RPS is having serious doubts about Shankar being his Waaris... though it will be very sad and unfair on Shankar and heartbreaking for me, I understand

As a matter of fact, i do..😆 well the question still remains.. what good does education bring to someone, if at the end of the day nothing really compares to the lifestyle one chooses for himself. if shankar gets the slightest idea that his child's future is in danger, i am sure he will fight big for that. but would that cost him everything he has now?

actually i like your way of thinking..😆 we're on the same level here..😳

right.. shankar will do his best to protect his brother from the kind of life he's living. we've yet to know whether sharuya chooses the path his father had so thoughtfully sought for him, or the path that is beneficial to him, education wise. also, this could create a sense of animosity between RPS and Sharuya, couldn't it?😕

so based on your above argument, are you saying that if thrown in the way, Sharuya will step back from taking leadership of the underworld? that's what we all ideally would want to.. but going deeper into how Shankar developped into a killer, don't you think there's a part of him that really want to be humble and kind and honest? then what gives him the courage to pull the trigger of a gun? it's the realization that you have power over other people. this is what corrupts everyone and if well pursuaded by his father, Sharuya could also be corrupted by it!

don't forget that RPS didn't become a renamed don in one night. he had worked for that staus in the past too.. maybe Shankar had known about his father's secret when he was still very young. it could be a possibility that his father poisoned his mind as a young man, and he grew up becoming even more fierce as an adult. with time, it just becomes who you are and nothing else really matters.

Well, it wouldn't be wrong on the side of RPS to deny Shankar the right of being the "Waaris" but still I would feel betrayed if I was Shankar because why did he not let him lead a normal life if that's what he was going to do...I don't know its kind of complicated...but nice post Zara...and great discussion!👏
