Hiya folks! And how are you all today? Hope everybody is doing great. I'm floating on my own little cloud of happiness right now. Found out about 'THE WEDDING' just last night and OMG! Have been in a state of absolute bliss ever since; and the euphoric effects have been lingering all day…this morning for instance, while my whole class suffered through an extremely sleep-inducing two hour long lecture on models of economic development, I sat there with a big smile on my face, mulling over this happy, happy news, prompting many a quizzical stare and various notes being lobbed discreetly in my direction; wanting to know why the hell was I so cheerful. But like I told them, it isn't a crime being so happy. And I am….gloriously, delightfully and absolutely happy. My babies are getting married!!! And today's episode just cemented my whole feel good factor. Happy days are here again!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Well. Okay it might not have seemed that way after all the tears shed today….but look at the bigger picture over here guys!) A-K are getting MARRIED!!!
Every event, every stage in A-K's life, since the day they first met, has been a step towards this ultimate, fated destination. I'm remembering this one old tearjerker scene, prior to the first break up when Angoo baby went to drop off Krips at the airport in Goa, where they had this real emotional farewell, and Kripa said to Angad (btw, our Krips has said many a prophetic thing in her moments, no?) that, "Our paths in life will never separate; and even if they do get divided at some point, they will unite once again; because we are meant to be together". Sigh! So simple and so beautiful!
So what if A-K are going into this marriage unwillingly, and while plotting each others downfall. Sometimes in life, the very things that we dread the most and are the most reluctant to go through with, are the very things that are the most beneficial for you. You know; blessings in disguise and all. A-K were meant to be together for the rest of their lives. And this is certainly a step in the right direction.
The new promo really does say it all about Angad and Kripa, "Kabhi dard, kabhi nafrat…tou Kabhi mohabbat." Only alteration that it needs is that it should go something like that though there might be pain sometimes, and sometimes hatred, but it's always against a backdrop of love.
A-K's love overwhelms me. You always hear about everlasting love; love that survives the highest highs and the lowest lows, the chasms of separation and the trials of pain, but in A-K, we actually get to see it. And now they are going to get married. My cup really does runneth over.
And nobody please mention the dreaded 'D' word here, cuz baby it aint gonna happen! Because the fact is that these two truly love one another from the core of their heart and from the depths of their souls and hence all bitterness, animosity and hostility will be washed away once things are sorted out between them. So let them get married and let them try to get back at the other; but the truth is that in the midst of their grand plans for vengeance, these two will once again discover their magnificent love for each other; which at the present is straining to break through a haze of pain and suspicion, and which will in the end emerge victorious. And their love will be all the more stronger and everlasting for all the pain it's been through.

And today's episode was M.I.N.D. B.L.O.W.I.N.G!!!!!!!!
Must see, must record…one for the annals of kyph history.
The show started of with where it had left off on Thursday….and yes everybody, Angad was still looking Hot! Hot! Hot! Poor Kripa having done the tilak spun around in a whirl to stalk off in a huff, only to be stopped by Damini, who told her that Prithvi had already gone to get Mishty and besides it was tradition that the dulhan's bhabi also give the 'shagun ka sikka' to the bridegroom. And our smirking bridegroom couldn't have had been happier over the whole thing.
But as Kripa made to take the coin from Damini, it slipped clear out of her hand and fell to the floor with a very resounding (and personally satisfying for me) echo. Damini looked like she was going to gobble up poor Krips, while fretting that dropping it was a bad omen. But this gave Angoo baba another chance to get in another dig at Kripa, announcing pompously that, "We hold our lucks in our own hands; as long as I have your well wishes and Mishty's love with me, nobody can cast an evil eye on my happiness." Causing Kripa to give him the aforementioned evil eye, all right!
Mishty finally came down the stairs, with Prithvi by her side. But as Kripa too began to make her way towards the crowd, she was stopped in mid-stride by Angad, saying, "Mishty is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen…even more than you." Sigh! The number of times I've wanted to go give both of them a good hard shake and tell them to stop taking potshots at each other and to kiss and make up. Now that would make a pretty picture all right! Okay. Okay. Don't mind me; I'm just in a very good mood today, which is steadily improving with each passing second. What can I say, all I can hear right now is wedding bells and all I can see are flashes of A-K's wedding! My brain refuses to be distracted from thoughts of the nuptials.
And then followed a musical extravaganza straight out of your imagination….Seriously, thought I had landed head first in some Indian flick. Anitah came up to Kripa and pulled her unto the dance floor with her and while Kripa was dancing and whirling around exuberantly (?) who should she bump into but our smoldering hero himself, thus very effective knocking the smirk of his face and the wind out of his sails. And as usual, they were helpless to resist the spell that casts itself over these two whenever they are in close proximity. Well, who's complaining? Stare away darlings!
Well anyway, finally these two drifted back to earth and Kripa went off with Prithvi and Angad went to Mishty and then followed a very well choreographed dance sequence. Didn't know the song, but it looked like some filmi thing, complete with background dancers and all. And so I sat there, suffering through Kripa-Prithvi and Angad-Mishty being all over each other. And there was this one scene where Angad and Prithvi picked up Mishty and Kripa respectively, and were whirling them around, causing me to jump up and down, screaming at them to put them down that very instant.
And check out Angad, seemed as if Fred Astaire's spirit had decided to take up residence in his body, the way he was dancing. And Ginger Rogers' spirit didn't seem to be too far behind either, looking at Kripa and Mishty attacking the dance floor. Lol
The second set which was btw, brilliant, stupefying and altogether mind blowing, started off with the camera panning Krips' face while she sang 'Bole Churian'. (Btw, Hafsa has kindly decided to take me on as assistant to her musical coordinator for our forum's long awaited and much cherished wedding of the century and we will definitely be bombarding you with extremely excellent musical entertainment. Do plz feel free to send in any songs that you would particularly like to see included. Lol) anyways, moving on, the camera panned out to include Anitah and Mishty as well and watching the lasses dancing their lovely self away was too much for the guys to resist and Angad, Prithvi and Manik promptly jumped in too, followed by the background dancers. Special split second to be noted: Angad and Mishty are dancing when the lyrics, 'leh ja, leh ja' are booming out and Kripa goes up to Angoo baby and offers him her hand, which he then takes. And after that, proceeds to dance between the two of them for the duration of the song! Go figure!
And now for the heart stopping, heart attack inducing and altogether powerfully intense part of the epi. For the ones who have yet to see it, brace yourself for the impact; and for the ones who've already seen it, Omg!!!! Did you guys check it out!!!
Kripa is shown in her room, adjusting her clothes when suddenly the door opens and who should come strolling in like the lord of the manor, but our very own, very enraged Angad. He came in and pointedly closed the door. Another staring match followed, with Angad holding Kripa's gaze unblinkingly while he slowly advanced towards her across the expanse of the room. And Kripa too stood enthralled, lost in his gaze, till he was within touching distance of her and only then did she ask him what he was doing in her room. And Angad drawled out that he wanted to give her a compliment; because after all she looked very beautiful today. His words, not mine.
And Kripa lashed out at him to leave her alone but Angad; displaying exactly how thin his control on his emotions was, grated out harshly that how could he leave her alone, how could he forget that he had once loved her? Poor Kripa, fought back by reminding him that he was engaged top Mishty. But there was no stopping Angad now. He was going to have his say, he was going to spill his agony out and she would have to listen to him; would have to stand there while he listed his spiel of allegations against her. And while he once again displayed that these two ultimately, unconsciously at least, always try to seek solace from each other, from the selfsame persons who they perceive to have hurt them in the first place. Sigh! And I'm absolutely crazy about their bittersweet love story.
So Angad enunciated heavily that he knew that he was engaged. And finally unable to hold closed the floodgates on the hurt and anger buried inside him any longer, told her that he had thought of her all the time while he was in jail. He said that she had subjected him to intense pain. And then going, 'you know the pain from the police beatings was nothing compared to the pain that you inflicted on me'. Kripa made to move away finally, but Angad simply grabbed hold of her and pulled her towards himself, smack against his chest. And this intense tableau playing out was made all the more urgent by it being inter-cut with scenes of Prithvi climbing the stairs towards their room…cut back to a thoroughly incensed Angad (but the eyes give him away…..he had such a wounded look in them. Brilliant piece of acting by Iq like always with Neha complimenting him perfectly.), telling Kripa that, "Mai tumhay apni kismet smajhta tha; tum nai tou meri kismet hi mitta di!", while accusing her of sending him off to jail without caring that he was innocent.
So there I was looking at these two locked in an intense confrontation, but in my mind, the two of them were to be found waltzing away while a string quartet played in the background….Brings that stellar line from the 'shawshank redemption' to mind; 'hope is a good thing and good things never die!' Well it certainly holds true in my case, since I'm forever hopeful that A-K will be together eternally. Sigh! You do know why everybody on this forum gets along so fabulously….cuz we are just a bunch of romantic old fools. But hey, that's the best kind to be.
But the most emotionally charged and revealing scene of the day was yet to come, Angad telling Kripa that, "I used to think that I would come out of jail and see your face….." and then realizing what he had been inadvertently about to give away, turning away in disgust/anger/pain, telling her to, "…….forget it!" and with a wealth of anguish in his voice and a distressingly pained expression, told her that, "You know, when I touch you I don't get the same feeling anymore. You're not MY Kripa anymore. You're not my Kripa." And by this time Prithvi was standing outside the door too.
Okay. Lets stop for a minute to compare notes over here; how many boxes of tissues did you guys go through while watching this magnificently done scene. I lost count; I was so busy bawling like a baby.
You know, when you see Angad-Kripa together; you can see the banked fires in their eyes, the acute awareness of the other; the unseen bond that connects these two. It's a mystical connection that these two share, which no one can break and no one can come between. And even in their intense hatred for the other, the shadow of their love is always ever-present and with them it can only ever be a one on one confrontation while everyone else can only look on from the sidelines. So back of Prithvi and back of Mishtoo…its Showdown time!!!
Anyhow, Prithvi opens the door with a flourish only to find Kripa alone in the room, and if her breathing is somewhat rapid, it goes by pretty much unnoticed; as does the hunk hidden behind the curtains. Tut! Tut! Prithvi, no marks for your observational skills.
But today I'm going to overlook all of this stuff because today Prithvi, unknowingly and unwillingly, dealt a death blow to his own dastardly plans and confessed within full hearing of Angad, that there were no conjugal relations between him and Kripa!!!!!!
Initially Prithvi was shown asking Kripa what she was doing upstairs and then apparently feeling guilty about lashing out at her the previous day, trying to explain away his attitude…telling her that he thought that she hadn't adjusted in his home and with him because he knew that she still loved Angad. And while Kripa silently beseeched him to say no more, doing the exact opposite and dropping the bombshell about the true state of their relationship.
Angad's shock at hearing this pronouncement was like a seismic wave, I swear.
But what was the most heart-rending and nerve shattering part of his reaction to Prithvi's outburst was that amidst the naked pain slashing Angad's face, there was also the hint of rekindling hope in his eyes. The truth that had always been in front of his face but which he had been too enraged to see, was rapidly asserting itself, hammering away at all his defenses against Kripa. The truth towards which he had turned a blind eye since his return as the prodigal Zaib…..that Kripa always had been and always would be, his and his alone…heart, mind, body and soul!!!
Kripa made to follow Prithvi out of the door, but when Prithvi had passed out of the door, she stopped, drawing level with a shell shocked Angad and in the background, the music of that song, 'tarap, tarap ke' started playing. And finally after everything that had just transpired, Kripa turned to look towards Angad. And the look on his face…..My God! Okay, a little handy hint over here: to prevent myself from giving in to fresh flurries of tears at this point, I just kept repeating my new calming and comforting mantra over and over again….which is really very simple and goes something like, 'A-K are getting married. Yippee!'
So there was Kripa with tears rolling down her face and as Angad came towards her slowly, with strangely halting steps, he too had tears in his eyes. And at this point, even my mantra stopped working and the person who could be heard howling the loudest in the room was yours truly. Sigh! These two put me through such an emotional wringer, I swear.
So anyway, Kripa without waiting for Angad to reach her; left the room and was shown standing against a doorway, looking utterly dejected and heart broken whilst Angad was similarly shown looking completely devastated. The song started in earnest then and while the lyrics are rolling in the background (something about asking God about this strange twist of fate.) Angad remembered old times; the bridge scene, the lipstick/sindoor scene, when they showed their souls embracing, car scene, Kripa's birthday, dance rehearsal, old party….all momentous occasions in their tumultuous relationship. And suddenly he burst out, "Omg! I can't believe that Kripa still…..No! If this was so then she wouldn't have done this to me. But then why didn't she with Prithvi….?" And unable to answer these questions, finally crying out in mute despair, "Kripa, do you still love me?"
Sigh! Oh for heavens sake, of course she does!!! Just like you still worship the ground that she walks on. Humph! It's a good thing that A-K are already getting married; otherwise after viewing today's episode, I would probably have had to catch the first flight to India and taking the kyph scriptwriter hostage, have had to write in this turn of events myself.
The third set started off with Angad calling out to Kripa to stop, while Kripa simply ignored him and averted her face. But Angad was persistent, telling her that he needed to talk to her; had a lot of questions that he wanted answered. (And what about my questions? Hmm! Okay, those can wait a bit. I'll come back to that.) Angad pleadingly implored Kripa to, "Talk to me Kripa. Warna mai pagal ho jao ga?" and Kripa simply issued a tearful, "Koi faida nahin hai." And walked away towards the milieu downstairs with Angad following; when suddenly Angad's face was shown registering a look of utter shock. And following the direction of his gaze we saw a contingent of police gate crashing the party; saying that they had an arrest warrant in Prithvi Bose's name in connection with alleged links with the Dubai's underworld.
Prithvi's astonished indignation on hearing this was masterly. Stand back Hollywood! Make way for Prithvi Bose and his impersonation of an innocent man wrongly accused.
Welllll!!! He probably is innocent in this instance, but you know, I've kind of gotten into the habit of blaming him for everything.
So while Prithvi is being led away, a brilliantly intense and searing A-K look follows. Kripa apparently is on to lover boy's many tricks to wrench apart her and Prithvi. But today's happenings kind of threw a spanner in the works, didn't they? I can't seem to decide what Angad is going to do now??? What say?
The setting shifts to Manik's office; where he can be seen telling Kripa that Prithvi is in a lot of trouble, since the police have documents proving that Prithvi was indeed guilty as charged! Manik finally convinced poor Kripa to go home where Damini, Mishty and Angad were awaiting her. And while Damini asked Kripa what had happened and then trotted off to get her a glass of water; Mishty confided in Angad that she thought that it was Karthik trying to get back at her through her brother.
And Angad while, on the surface, comforting Mishty was looking over her head, directly at Kripa and saying heartfelt stuff like, 'Main hoon na; I wont let anything happen to Prithvi'. And in a brilliant scene, when Kripa made to move away, saying, superficially addressing himself to Mishty but each word aimed directly at Kripa's heart, and I quote, "Iss say koi farak nahin parhta kay hum kitni bar gir kar authtay hain aur mushkilon ka samna kartay hain." And then reiterated something to the effect of not letting anything happen to Prithvi….dont really know for sure, my brain had pretty much short circuited by then. And then the episode ended with Angad's 'Dialogue of the Day': "Please don't lose hope. I'm always there for you! …….. Always!"
Sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Preview: Angad telling somebody on the phone to destroy all the proof that they have. Then he himself sets alight some papers.
Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! My head is just one giant whir of questions right now??? Does it mean that Angad is only back for revenge because Kripa married Prithvi; hence he perceived that as her betrayal? Or did he in fact still blame her for sending him to jail too, but his heart his unable to fight the desire to love her especially now that he's found out about how things stand between her and Prithvi??? Also, will he now save Prithvi's neck; like he claimed repeatedly today and as tomorrow's preview seems to show, hence risking loosing Kripa again. And does he even want Kripa back? Well, stupid question, of course he does. Or will he now step up his campaign to get back Kripa from Prithvi? And did he orchestrate the whole campaign against Prithvi himself? But then what about the proof he was talking of destroying…were they real or fake proofs?
And how are they going to end up getting married??? Okay, don't answer that one, doesn't do to question a good thing. But as for the rest……answers please!!!!!
Hmm. So what do we have here? The same old story actually…Angad can't walk away from Kripa, just as she can't walk away for him, because these two have unfinished business to sort out; an undying pull that galvanizes them towards each other always. The way in which Angad/Zaib is so unperturbedly cool and calculating in his dealings with everyone, but when it's Kripa that he's confronting, this calm and cool goes flying to Hades; because she alone has the power to effect his on a deep, primitive, emotional level; she alone who holds the key to his heart. And it's only ever been Angad alone who possesses all of Kripa's heart.
So where do these two go from here? And now that the truth has finally begun to emerge a bit at a time, what will they do? They can't live with the other and they can't live without the other. And this explosive situation is very soon going to spiral completely out of control, no doubt. And when that happens, I'm going to be watching with a big, complacent grin on my face.
And don't forget also that all this volatile chemical warfare is the lead up to the big explosion that will be the A-K wedding. Okay. This thought has resulted in my former good mood being completely restored once again. As always, A-K continue to rock on!!!
