Hmm I agree with you over here, I think Shaurya is one of the main characters otherwise why would he be given so much screen-time??? And in Godfather and Sarkar, the studious son is the one who takes over the business, the other son, the hotheaded son the one who is groomed to be the actual succesor to his fathers mafia business, doesnt obviously.

Iqs character is based on the other son, that is Sonny Corleone. Even Sonny Corleone is really hot-heated and stuff, bt he can't hurt woman, children or defenseless ppl, he's basically clean of heart, meaning to say.

Infact in the Godfather, it was Sonny's death that primarily caused Michael to join his familys business and take revenge, and basically become more ruthless.

Dunno if Smriti is planning to take that route, Im pretty sure if she has copied from Sarkar and Godfather, she has tweaked quite a lot of things. Becoz in Godfather, Sonny's character isn't very loyal to his wife and cheats on her, but in Waaris, that obviously is not the case with Shankar.

Also in godfather there were three brothers, with middle bro being the most dutiful and loyal... over here there are two brothers.

So its possible that Smriti Irani might decide to make Yuvrajs character the waaris, and remove Shankar from the business from another way less cruel than death, probably incapicating him, or maybe if Shankar himself decides to get outta the business for his family.

IQ dying [as much as I hate it] is a possibility.....However; he's landed a great role and from the promos it looks like he's going to stick around for a while.

Maybe he doesn't join the business at all and tries to persuade his brother and father to leave it instead?😕
