Aamir Khan and Darsheel make a great jodi. The two have great chemistry together and Darsheel apparently is trying to learn a lesson or two from his mentor who has turned this 11-year old kid into a sought after property.
The child actor who has got some lucrative ads including Horlics a leading energy brand for kids was offered Rs 75 lakhs for a film with leading Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt. Nutritional product manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSKCH) Ltd had paid a large sum for signing him as its brand ambassador for its healthdrink Horlicks. The company wanted to ride on the popularity of the child artist, who captured the imagination of many with his superlative performance in the Aamir Khan-directed film.
Two days ago when Taare Zameen Par (TZP) DVD was launched in Darsheel Safaris school, Darsheel Safary danced along with Aamir Khan.
Wheile writing about the launch of the DVD, Aamir says on his blog, "I wanted to be totally sure before I spoke about it on my blog because there were too many false alarms in between. So today we went to Darsheel's school and Darsheel's principal Mrs Bajaj was kind enough to do the honors."
Aamir has reportedly inked the deal with Disney for an astronomical sum. Aamir says, "the other bit of good news is that Disney has decided to release the DVD in the U.S., U.K., Australia, New Zealand and Canada. I was very happy to know that they liked the film enough to want to distribute TZP in home entertainment for these 5 countries".
