18th July Written Update

• Anjana scolds Vinay
• Lajjo talks to Liza
• Dadi is upset with Liza-Vikrant
• Rekha is called away to her Maayka

Rinky and Vinay are watching TV. Anjana storms in and scolds Vinay for wasting his time and tries to instigate him against Uday and Ranbir, saying that he should have been at the meeting with Mr. Simon. Vinay looks unconcerned as Anjana rants and tells him to get involved with the business more otherwise he'll get left behind. Vinay is about to say something but stops himself as he sees Lajjo, and leaves the room.

He goes out in the hallway and watches Lajjo [Euw! He's perving on her!] before asking her to bring him a cup of coffee. Lajjo nods and says that she'll bring it to his room but eh tells her that he'll be out in the garden and asks her to take it there. Anjana comes out and looks suspicious as she asks what's going on. Lajjo mentions coffee and Anjana yells at Naina to bring it. Both women leave.

Liza's room…

Lajjo comes in and tries talking to Liza, saying that she should be careful about her friendship with Vikrant. After all, spending so much time with another man and looking after him in this way doesn't look good. At first Liza is amused but soon loses her temper and tells Lajjo not to tell her how she should look after Viky and how to behave towards Abhay. Lajjo feels bad and is about to leave when Liza stops her and coldly tells her not to interfere in her matters again as she is, after all, a narrow minded village girl and can't understand friendship as she has no friends.

UL Room…

Lajjo is in her room crying. She picks up a picture of Jaswant and asks what she did wrong by trying to help Liza out. Rekha comes in and consoles her, saying that she has now seen what Liza is like. After all, her Western cultures are different to the family and soon Abhay will also realise this.

Downstairs…

The family is seated for dinner. Dadi notices Liza's absence and asks Abhay to talk to Liza as at dinner the family always sits together and eats. Abhay goes to call Liza and Rekha sends Lajjo away to call Naina. She then tells the family that Lajjo went to talk to Liza but she behaved rudely towards her. Dadi also expresses her concern to Rama about Liza.

Just then Liza comes down supporting Vikrant. Uday also arrives and smiles at Lajjo. They both have an eye lock as she serves him. Lajjo goes to serve Liza but she stops her saying that she'll take it herself. Liza then serves Vikrant and seeing this, Dadi is disturbed and leaves the table. Ranbir also follows as Rekha and Vikrant share a smile. Abhay is confused and Rama covers up by saying that Dadi is not feeling well.

UL Room…

Uday is in bed. Lajjo comes in looking upset and Uday sees this and tries to explain to her that Liza has a different lifestyle and so acts differently which is why she shouldn't take it to heart. Lajjo replies that she is just worried that Liza may distance herself from her husband for her friend. Uday smiles to see her worry for AL and comforts her saying that Liza is aware of her duties towards her husband and tells her to worry about Uday Singh who has been waiting for her eagerly. Lajjo smiles and they cosy up together.

Morning…

Rekha's phone rings. Ranjit asks her if everything is okay and Rekha replies that her mother is in hospital and so she needs to go away for a few days. Ranjit offers to come as well but she refuses and leaves the room to go visit Vikrant. She tells him to remember what he has to do and complete the work. Vikrant tells her to leave without any worries as he will handle everything here and create differences between AL.
