| The actors of 35mm for ages have always wished to make it big on 70mm. Reportedly, TV actress Prachi aka Bani of Kasamh Se fame is expecting to do well in Bollywood with her upcoming movie Rock On. In an interview to a news agency recently, she said, "My debut in films has not been tough mainly because I have a simple role as Farhan's wife, who is instrumental in bringing the rock band back to the centrestage." Prachi herself accepts that her debut is not very strong, but every actor is not so honest. TV stars jump on the Bollywood bandwagon with a lot of hype, but they end up with little or no success. Ronit Roy, Mandira Bedi, Niki Aneja all tried their luck in tinsel town, but after failure, they came back to TV. Moreover, there are actors from TV who are critically acclaimed for their skills in movies too, but are not able to get that superstar tag they aspire for. Actor Sandhya Mridul has been appreciated for almost all her roles, but still hasn't managed to get mass appeal because of her offbeat selection of movies. Television actors have always tried to be successful in Bollywood, but rarely do they get acclaim for their hard work. According to Rajeev, he was successful in Bollywood because he got a good break. "I think success and failure of an actor depends on the choices he makes. Moreover, there's a perception that TV actors can't make it big in Bollywood, so many producers do not offer them meaty roles. My film was much appreciated as it was different and had a unique storyline," he says. Director Atul Agnihotri says that Bollywood is a tough place to survive in. "Out of hundred only three or four are commercially successful. One probably has an advantage being from the TV industry, but unless you bag good projects and work with the best people, you are bound to be feel disheartened and disillusioned as the competition is tough.
