It's the age of soaps in tellyworld where comebacks spell success. And it's definitely not surprising that Anuj Saxena (Jatin Wadhwa) of 'Kumkum' is making a comeback to the show.
Confirming the news he says, "Yes I am returning as Karan Kapoor. I agreed to do the role because the character was interesting. I play a flamboyant multi-billionaire with an absolutely different look."
The turning point of the show will see the lead characters Juhi Parmar and Hussain Kuwajerwala celebrate the success of bagging a business contract by throwing a party.
According to sources, Anuj will make an entry at the party which will be the turning point of the story. It has been confirmed that the party will showcase characters from different serials in the afternoon slots on Star Plus.
Elaborating on his role Anuj says, "I always want to do something different. There was an issue with 'Kkusum' because the show lost its focus and no one knew where it was going."
Anuj further admits that from 2006 he will only focus on Bollywood films. "I don't want to do television any more."
However, he's quick to point out, "You should never say never. But unless something really good comes up I would like to concentrate only on films." But what about his debut film Sameer Malkhan's 'Lips — The Kiss of Death'?
"I don't know when it's going to be released. That's something the filmmakers have to decide. I'm at the pinnacle of my career with good performances on television and now I wish to move on in life."
The actor has his hands full with television and his production house and says, "It's all about time management." He signs off, "I know I am burning the candle at both ends by working 96 hours a day but I am ambitious and plan to make the most of it."
