He will soon be joining the six pack brigade of Bollywood and is currently toning his lean body into a muscular one for an action caper. In a candid chat, the actor tells all....
Forthcoming films
Kunal Kapoor is indulging in some serious body sculpting these days and says that it is being done for the character he is playing in a forthcoming action flick, "I cannot divulge all the details. All I can say is that it's a full-fledged action film, with amazing fight scenes and mind-boggling stunts. I will start shooting for it eleven months from now, but I need to be in good physical shape to meet the demands of this role. Apart from gymming for hours, I am also learning Kalari payattu, a martial art form practiced in Kerala. I am enjoying every moment of it."
The actor is also part of Rahul Dholakia's untitled venture, which will see him sharing screen space with Sanjay Dutt. Ask him to comment on this and he says, "I have been a huge fan of Sanjay Dutt and post Munna Bhai MBBS, I like him even more. I am really looking forward to working with him."
'It's all trash'
After being linked with Dia Mirza and Raima Sen, the grapevine has it that the dimpled actor is going around with Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam. Rumours are rife that the duo is often seen frequenting coffee shops and malls, hand in hand. Quiz him on this and he says, "Rumours of my linkup with Sonam Kapoor are rubbish. I don't understand from where these rumours crop up. Moreover, I choose not to discuss my friendships and affairs in the media because it becomes a chain of explanations, which gets very tiresome."
The other side of Kunal
Apart from sweating it out in the gym, there is something else that is keeping Kunal busy these days. Ask him about it and he says, "Yes, I am co-writing a script with a friend of mine and if things work out well, we will complete it by early next year." And it's not just films that occupy Kunal's mind space. The issue of global warming has the actor all worried and so, he agreed to be part of a documentary film shot on the subject. "Not just in films, but I am trying to get environmental friendly in my real life too. Whenever it's possible, I make use of my bicycle to commute!"
