The land of golden sand,
Tranquil riches and a cultured land,
Botanical view of fresh health,
Buddhism holds it's native wealth,
The flag waves colors of humanity,
The sword of the lion is a mark of
Sri Lankan authority,
Flying high to be amongst others in majority,
Stood in our hands in times of difficulty,
Greenery surrounds to it's vast,
Seeing the sunset from every pass,
Blooming flowers and smiling faces,
Believers of god and there races,
Crystal beaches in lavish masses,
Enduring hospitality and tradition of classes,
Coconut trees that wave sunset background,
Fishing boats scampering around,
Driving pass the hills of Kandy, to
See the tuskers dressed in colors so trendy,
The epic sights of Buddhist temples,
Pathways glittered with wax candles,
Drummers make your rhythm beat,
Harvesting fields of rice and wheat,
The hills share the pure blends of tea,
Rows of tea fields as far as you can see,
Scenic bird life is an eye catching supreme,
Parakeets and lovebirds singing in rare theme,
Kingfishers grabbing its bait in quick velocity,
Peacocks spread wings of unity,
Abundance of remarkable hand made
Pottery,
Crafty monuments that represent
Sri Lankan history,
Ancient villas of glamorous homes,
Exquisite jewels and precious stones,
A teardrop island in the bays of Asia,
Shining like a rare pearl bestowed,
Covered in natures wondrous vicinity,
Glad to be a proud Sri Lankan dignity.
