S tar Plus is apparently worried that Ekta Kapoor's Kahani Hamaarey Mahabharat Ki will surge ahead of its TRP grabber Sapna Babul Ka.. Bidaai. The channel honchos have asked Bidaai producer, Rajan Shahi, to cut fresh pro- mos for the show. This move comes as a surprise because the promos for Bidaai have always been shot by the channel. Shahi confirms the news and says that they made the promos in keeping with the channel's guidelines. The channel's apparent fear of the mythology can also be judged from the fact that they are bringing back the love track between Ragi- ni and Ranbir. The couple's on-and-off romance seems to be a major hit with the viewers. And there is no better time than now to bring them back. Shahi, however, terms this as purely 'coincidental'. He refuses to speculate on the effect of Kahani Hamarey… on other shows. "It's too early to comment.. we have to wait for the TRPs to come in," he says. But Shahi does say that other dailies should not try to compete with the mythology It's a costume drama . and there can be no similarities.
