what does makaam mean or was that something else.. I remember this song is from Aap ki Kasam..rajesh khanna and mumtaz.

It is zindagi ke safar me means while travelling life or if life is a trip than

Gujar jate hai jo mukam means lot of stops pass by mukam means points or stops

JO phir nahai aate means which never come back.

The whole thing means in life we pass by lot of things which never come back.

It is a beautiful song indeed.
