Vaidehi gets hurt in the kitchen while cooking and burns her arm; Trupti sees this and informs the cops about the same and tells them that the Viranis are trying to kill Vaidehi for dowry and asks them to arrest Ganga

oh gosh just because she hurt herself, it doesn't mean that someone is trying to kill her.. especially not ganga. and why would ganga want a dowry from vaidehi, she wouldn't want it.. even without a dowry from vaidehi she is already rich.
