*Michi Moment: Ek Lamha Pyaar Ka*
Prachi woke up with the sun shining down on her; opening her eyes against the sun, she got up yawning from . Everything that happened last night just felt like another beautiful dream. She looked to the side of her and blushed, there laid Milind sleeping soundly with that cute smile on his face that she just loved to see every morning. Her Milind had kept her up the whole night yesterday and because of him she woke up late and forgot to make breakfast. Prachi hurriedly got out of bed and headed towards the washroom to freshen up. Once she came out of the washroom she noticed that Milind had already gotten up and he was nowhere to be found in the bedroom. Prachi just nodded her head, a delicate smile gracing her lips as she headed to the mirror to apply her sindoor.
Prachi walked down the hall, she noticed no one was in their respective rooms. She went down the stairs and called out to them but when no one answered, "Pata nahin kahaan challe gay sab," Prachi whispered to herself. She considered that they must have all gone to the mandir as her Maa goes every morning, so she must have taken baba and dadi along. But where was Milind, she kept thinking, when she heard something hit the ground, which shook her completely. The noise was coming from the kitchen. She wondered who could have been in there since Maharaj was on leave. She was scared, she had never been home alone before and she had no idea what to do.
Prachi grabbed a vase that was placed on a sidetable beside her; she held it firmly in her hand and headed towards the kitchen without making a noise. She pushed the kitchen ajar and peaked through, she saw no one there. She saw the window open and curtains blowing, and assumed that it was just the wind making all the noise. She breathed a sigh of relief and walked inside the kitchen, closing the door. Shutting the window firmly, she finally realized all the mess made around her. There was flour on the counters, the sink was full of dishes, the water was running on, the floor was a grimy, the gas was on and pots were strewn everywhere on the counters. She stood rooted to the ground not knowing what to do and where to start cleaning up. She was in shock wondering who could have made all this mess.
She took her sari's pallu and tied it to the corner of her waist; preparing herself for the clean up, when all of a sudden she felt a hand go around her waist, touching her bare stomach and untieing the sari pallu. She panicked and looked back, it was Milind. "Milind, aap?" Prachi whispered not believing her eyes. Milind had not only made the whole kitchen a mess but himself too. There was flour all over his cheeks. He looked at her and shrugged his shoulders lightly, showing her the mess he made out of himself. Prachi giggled, she just couldn't help laughing at the fact that he looked hilarious with a pink flower-printed apron on. Prachi took her pallu and wiped his cheeks. Her husband looked so cute pouting slightly like a disobdient child and looking down. Prachi took her hand and lightly placed it on his cheek. "Milind aapka chehra itna uthra hua kyun hai?," Prachi asked smiling. "Prachi, who...main...woh...tere liye...main..." Milind hesitated. "Milind, aap bhi na...mera intezaar tho kar lethe...main breakfast banaane hi waali thhi," Prachi said disappointedly. "Nahin...Prachi...woh main.." Prachi cut Milind off, "Ab chaliye bahaar jaayiye...main naashtha banaathi hoon," Prachi said grabbing his arm and pointing towards the door.
Prachi turned back and started doing her work when she felt someone still there, she looked back and found Milind sitting on the counter cleaning an apple with his shirt, right when he was just about to take a bite, he found Prachi glaring at him. He gave her a little wink and took a bite of the apple. Prachi blushed but with a firm tone she asked, "Milind?! Aap gaye nain abhi?"
"Prachi, ab tere ko chhor ke kahaan jaaon?" Milind questioned raising his eyebrows with that naughty smile on his face. "Hai bhagwaan, main apne pati ka kya karoon," Prachi posed and tried acting dramatic. "Ey Prachi, acting karne ka khiyaal tho, tu apne dimaag se nikaal de," Milind laughed. "Ey, meri acting ko kuch muth kahiye, warna aapki tho main Waat'ch lagaa doongi.. samjhe," Prachi said in a manly voice and winked at him.
Milind looked back at his wife, stunned, speechless. Prachi felt as though the words had left her mouth without her meaning to say them and she quickly turned away from Milind's gaze in embarassment, fiddling mindlessly with anything she could find. "Challo, Milind, abh hassi mazaak bohuth hogiya…aap please jayiye aur fresh hokar aaye...utne mein main naastha lagaa dethi hoon," Prachi pleaded. "Nahin, Prachi, thu apna kaam kar aur main apna kaam kartha hoon," Milind said, letting what had just passed go, he knew from the colour of her cheeks that she was embarassed. He smiled lightly to himself though; he liked to see this side of Prachi.
"Accha, aur aapka kaun sa kaam hai," Prachi said suspiciously, breaking into his thoughts. "Tere ko ji bhar ke dekhna ka kaam, aur kya?" Milind said happily. "Hai, kitna bada kaam kar rahe hai na aap," Prachi said sarcastically. "Haina?" Milind replied taking another bite out of the apple. Prachi nodded her head at her husband's childness but adorable behaviour. "Accha pati dev, nahin jaana chahthe aap, tho muth jaayiye, lekin mujhe apna kaam karne dijiye..sab aathe hi honge, aur abhi thak naashtha bhi nahin tayaar, hai bhagwaan aur aapne yeh kya haal bana diya hai kitchen ka," Prachi panicked. "Ey biwi, madat chahiye ho maang lena...main yahin pe hoon, kahin nahin jaane waala tujhe chhod ke, tu tension muth le," Milind stated with a smirk taking another juicy bite out of his apple. Prachi tapped her forehead and nodded her head. "Theek hai baba, ab chup karenge aap?" Prachi annoyingly said. "Lo abh maine kya kiya, thu chup kar aur mujhe apna kaam karne de," Milind argued. "Kariye kariye apna kaam, mera kaam ho na ho, aap apna kaam kar lijiye," Prachi whispered to herself sarcastically. "Hmm.. kuch kahaa jaan?" Milind smirked. "NAHIN!!," Prachi yelled, turning around, folding her hands to him. Milind laughed. He loved his wife; he loved to irritate her because he knew that from the inside she loved it.
Prachi had started to cut the vegetables now, though she tried to concentrate on slicing, her mind was elsewhere and her face beheld a sweet smile. She had the best husband. Yes, he was short-tempered, annoying but she loved him. She loved him more than her life. Prachi was in deep thoughts, when she felt something sharp cut her finger. It was the knife. She yelped, "Ouch!" Milind jumped hearing his wife yelp in pain. He ran to Prachi and saw her holding her finger. Milind was shocked, there was so much blood yet she didnt have a single tear in her eye. He quickly grabbed her bloody finger and put it in his mouth.
Prachi was taken back by such a gesture. She tilted her head and smiled at him. Another reason why she loved her Milind, he was so damn caring. Milind took her finger out of his mouth and looked at Prachi with dissappointment. "Milind, aap mujhe aise muth dekhiye haan...maine kuch nahin kiya," Prachi said quitely but then succumbed to a bout of giggles and Milind couldn't help but let out a smile. His smile slowly faded, he brought his hands up to her cheeks and cupped her face. Prachi looked down, if she looked up into his eyes, she knew she wouldnt be able to stop herself. Milind slid his hand down to her chin and slowly Prachi looked up. He brought his face closer to hers; their lips were just about to touch when they heard the steamer. Milind brought his hands down, smiled and leaned against the counter, folding his arms across his chest while Prachi gave him a disappointed look and headed to turn off the gas.
Prachi continued to do her work when she felt Milind's arms come around her waist and tighten near her stomach, pulling her against his chest. She put her hands on top of his. He brought his chin and placed it on her shoulder, his stubble tickled her but she loved it when he did that. He kissed her left cheek lightly and whispered I love you in her ear. She whispered the same back. He gently swayed her in his arms for a bit. Both were lost in their own world.
Prachi opened her eyes and asked him, "Milind, agar aapka romance khatham hogaya ho tho kuch kaam kare?" "Yaar, thu bhi na, yahaan main tere saath romance karne ka moka dhoond raha hoon aur thu hai ki baat baat par mujhe tok thi rehthi hai, chal main nain kartha tere se baat," Milind said letting go of Prachi, folding his arms across his chest and heading back to his counter. Prachi laughed at the thought that when they ever do have a child, she wouldn't be taking care of just one but there would be two including Milind, himself. Prachi went to Milind and pulled her ears gesturing that she was sorry. Milind smirked and faced the other way. "Accha baba maine kahaa na, Im sorry," Prachi pleaded, turning his cheek towards her, but he just turned away again. "Nahin, thu jaa, apna kaam kar, jiski tere ko ziyaada padi hai, apne pati ki tho koi value hi nahi hai aaj kal...mere saath baat karke apna waqt muth barbaad kar tu, samjhi," Milind argued making a baby face. "Aur aap apna kaam nahin karenge? Please, Milind idthar dekhiye na," Prachi cupped Milind's face towards herself. Milind looked at Prachi with twinkle in his eyes. Prachi noticed it and she quickly wrapped her arms around her husband. Milind had a huge smile on his face and he brought his arms around her and tightened his grip. "Ab aayi na line pe," Milind whispered to himself, "Kuch kahaa aap ne?" Prachi pretended. "Nahin yaar, main tho bas yun hi..." Milind tapped his forehead and bit his lip. Both of them started laughing.
