Kkusum is sitting with Ayee… She tells Ayee that it's Kumud's birthday today… Ayee says that she knows and that's why she went to the temple in the morning and prayed for her… Ayee says that she did not tell Kkusum on purpose… Kkusum says that she can never forget Kumud's birthday… They remember old times when Kumud was a kid…
Karan comes there… He says that it seems they can't digest food without crying… Karan says that he will make sure that they don't cry anymore… He asks them to make all the arrangements for Kumud's birthday as she will come here and celebrate it… Kkusum is sad and says that she will not come here… Karan says that he will make sure her dreams come true… Kkusum says that if he brings Kumud today then her whole life… Kkusum hesistates as she says 'whole life'… She looks at Ayee… Karan asks her to come with him…
Karan takes Kkusum to see a doctor… Shashant is there as well… Karan and Kkusum area talking and don't see him… He is surprised to see them there and asks them why they were saying that there is no hope… Karan makes up a story and says that there is no hope that he can tell his feeling to the doctor… Shishant asks what feelings? Karan says that he is not sure if he can tell his feeling to the lady doctor, Dr Kareena… Shishant says that if he is in love, then what is his sister doing in his love story… Karan says that she is playing the main role as she is going to go and talk to her… Shishant says that he will come and talk to her… Karan says that he can't meet her as she is in the maternity ward today and only ladies are allowed in there… Shishant says that if he needs him, then let him now… Karan says he will… Shishant leaves…
Kkusum is with the doctor… She asks the doctor to tell her how much time she has left as she has some unfinished business to take care of… Karan says that he promises that he will handle all that… Kkusum says that she has only listened to his promises until now… Karan says that now he will act as well… he asks her to go home and make all the arrangements and he'll go get Kumud…
Mahi hugs Kumud and wishes her happy birthday… Sarla, Nitin, Kapil and Lalit also wish her… Nitin says that he has arranged a party for her birthday that evening… Kumud says that she appreciates that but she doesn't like celebrating… She says that she has lots of work to do and so she will leave now… Nitin says that life should not come to a stop… Kumud says that she is not stopping, she is just waiting for the day when she will achieve her goal… Kumud thanks everyone and leaves… Nitin says that he is scared that Kumud's hatred towards Kkusum might take her on a wrong path… Mahi says what path is he talking about… Nitin says that hatred is also a relation… He says that Mahi should know very well that if you can't love anyone, then you can't hate them either… Mahi thinks to herself that after a few days, neither this hatred nor Kkusum would exist…
Karan and Kumud are having food in her office… Kumud says that it is good food… karan says that only the people who have not eaten food made by him say that… Kumud asks when he is making it for her… Karan says that if she wants he can make it for her his whole life… Kumud says that she thought she had appointed an architect but she didn't know that he wanted to be a cook… Kumud asks if he want to cook at her house… He says that he wants to cook at his own place; he doesn't want to live at his in-laws place… Kumud asks what nonsense is he talking about… Karan says that he has just given her a marriage proposal… A funny music goes on in the background when he speaks…Kumud gets angry and asks if he knows what he is saying… Kumud says that how did he think she would marry him… Karan asks why, there is nothing wrong with her… He says that her eyes are a bit small and her nose is a little big but still she looks very lovely… Kumud gets angry and says that she is telling him very politely that he is crossing all his limits… Karan says that one tends to forget his limits in love and hatred… He says that she called his romantic proposal nonsense… Kumud says that she has no time for these things in her life… karan says that he too doesn't have time but he is trying to take out time for this… Karan says that he knows that it takes some time to think about these things but she should hurry up a bit as he doesn't have much time… Kumud says that she knows that he has a very good sense of humor but she has no time… karan says that he thought of it so he said it… He says if someone thinks of something, they should say it because who knows 'kal ha na ho'… He acts goofy… he again says that she did not give an answer to his proposal… Kumud says that he is getting too filmi and that they should leave for the meeting now… Kumud leaves… Karan says that she did not say yes, but did not say no either, so there is still a chance… He turns and sees Kumud… He asks why she did not leave and that financers are waiting for them…
They go the meeting… Karan talks about the project… The financers are impressed and are ready to finance their mall… They leave… Kumud is about to leave when Karan wishes her happy birthday… Kumud is a bit surprised and thanks him… He says that she doesn't look excited at all… he asks her to see how excited he is… Kumud says that he gets excited over every thing… Karan says that it's his birthday as well… Kumud says that he is joking… Karan says he is not… Kumud wishes him… Karan asks her if she is not going to give her any gift… Kumud asks what he wants, a raise or a bungalow or a car… karan says that she won't be able to give what he wants… Kumud very arrogantly says that there is nothing that Kumud Oberoi cannot give… Karan asks her to think over it… He says that he wants her to come to his party and the party is at Kkusum Deshmukh's house… Kumud says that she always fulfills her promises and she will be there…
Karan calls Kkusum and tells her that Kumud will be there in the evening… Kkusum is happy and thanks him… Kkusum tells Ayee that they have to do a lot for the party this evening… Sharaddha says that she will manage everything…
Kumud is getting ready when Mahi asks her where she is going… She tells her that she is going to Karan's birthday party… Mahi asks why as she doesn't like birthday parties… kumud says that this is special as it is at Kkusum's house… Mahi thinks that she should keep an eye on her…
Kumud comes to the party with karan… Kumud takes blessing from Ayee, Shashant and hugs sameera… She looks at Kkusum but does not take blessings… Shraddha brings the cake… Kumud says that it is Karan's birthday as well… She cuts the cake and takes a piece towards Kkusum but instead gives it to Shraddha… Ayee, Shishant, and Karan look on sadly…
Shraddha pulls karan and Kumud to dance… Kkusum tells Ayee that it seems as if she is dreaming… Ayee says that Karan is not related to them but he is doing so much for them… Kumud starts to leave… Karan thanks her for coming… Kumud says that she knows that it's not his birthday today as she read his resume… Kumud says that she still hates Kkusum a lot and just came to fulfill her last wish… She says that she will make sure that she dies the same way she killed her dad… She says that she has not much time left… Kkusum is sad and thinks that she, in fact, doesn't have much time left anyways…
