Yeah, most random. Conducting valaikaapu etc. as if there are no single moms or divorced women who aren't surviving out there in the world. I really don't know how these serials NEVER catch up to progressive themes and have to be miserable like this, always showing 1 woman as the epitome of sacrifice and another woman (who is usually modern thinking) as a complete vamp! Now they are looking to depict Anjali as some home wrecker who is trying to come in between Saravanan and Mayil, when it is this stupid Saravanan who cannot stand up to his toxic mom or dad to ask them to take a hike and he will do what he needs to do. Ugh.

They don't want to show women working, being financially independent, taking wise decisions on their own, or any progressive steps. Meena is a govt employee, but she is at home all the time, inserting her nose in everyone's business, but she is perfect. Suganya works at the shop, and is seen fighting for her (and her husband's) rights, but she is shown as villi many times. Only Raji's future seems progressive, but you never know what new twist they might bring. Until she passes IPS, I have no hope in the channel.

I feel Saravana should marry Anjali and co-raise the child with Mayil. At least now he should speak up. His character has worsened so much. Pandian family will help raise the kid, financially and otherwise, but Mayil should work to support herself.

Reality should be shown that lies and deceit will break a marriage. And that there are widowed and divorced women who can live and raise kids without "the need" for a husband.
