And some....whose names history barely remembers....simply refused to remain silent.

From Rani Lakshmibai to Sarojini Naidu, from Madam Bhikaji Cama to Aruna Asaf Ali, from Usha Mehta to Captain Lakshmi Sahgal, and from countless celebrated heroines to the unnamed women of India's villages and towns, their courage became part of the heartbeat of the freedom movement.
