Pallavi comes to the Sharma house on a Sunday.
Pallavi delightfully invites the Sharmas to her house for Aryaman’s surprise party. However, Ahana's parents reject it, saying they cannot come, but Ahana will grace their party. Hearing this brings a big smile to Ahanna's face. Then she asks Pallavi if she needs any help; she will gladly help with preparation . Pallavi remembers how Ahanna used to come by to visit Pallavi whenever she was working, and she always inquired about Aryaman, how he was doing, and how Pallavi and Shekhar were doing. She was a kind girl who spoke nicely to people. It has just been about 8 months since Ahanna had taken over her father's company, and she had been really busy with projects, but today was Sunday, and she was at home. Pallavi tells Ahanna that she can come by and help with decorations if she likes, as poor Saanvi has been busy planning and she has no helping hands. She would be happy to get some help.
At the Suri residence
Shekhar and Pallavi are having tea, and they discuss if all the invites are out and hope everyone can come and celebrate their son's return. Pallavi says she has given an invite to the Sharmas as well, but Mrs. Sharma said they have other plans, but Ahanna beta will come. Then Shekhar asks, "Where is Saanvi? She called half an hour ago, and she said she will be here any minute." Where is this girl?
Then they hear a girl say, "I am here, Uncleji." While she was saying it, she tripped and fell. And with her, the box fell with all the decorations she brought in. Shekhar and Pallavi quickly run to her and help her put back everything in the box. They ask her with concern, "Are you okay, Beta, and did you not get hurt?" Shekhar is like, "Saanvi, Beta, is this all or will there be more?" Saanvi says, "Uncle, there are a few more boxes in the car." Shekhar says, "Beta, I will go get them. Stay here with your aunty." Pallavi asks Saanvi, "Where is Vikram? He did not come to help you." Saanvi says he is busy with work, but he said he will come by when he gets time. Shekhar returns with boxes and asks Saanvi, "Beta, is that all? If you need any help, let us know."
Then Ahanna comes in the evening to offer any help. She comes in, and Pallavi introduces her to Saanvi. They both exchange polite smiles, and Saanvi says, "Ahanna, I am almost done with the party streamers on the wall." Can you please help with the table décor? Here I will show you what I decided, and if you think something else is better, we can try that. Then Saanvi showed her the glass lantern where she had already placed the LED candles in there. with blue-white flat glass marbles around it. Then Saanvi asks her, "What do you think?" Ahanna says it's nice. Then Saanvi raises her hands and dramatically says, "I hope it does because I did not want heavy decoration; I just wanted something that showed thought and felt celebratory because Aryaman would throw a fit if someone went overboard with it, and if he knew it was me who did the decoration, he definitely would." Ahanna smiles at her, then says it seems you know Aryman so well. Saanvi says we were friends even before we both started going to school. Then they finish decorating the other tables, and Vikram comes and says, "How dare you, Saanvi? You finished this with me, and how dare you leave me out of the friend list?" Then Saanvi dramatically says, "Hahaaha, chalo, tujhe bhi list main rakhte hain," and then tells Ahanna to meet Vikram, our other best friends. We three practically grew up together. Then Saanvi asks Vikram, are you going to go pick him up from the airport or Shekhar uncle? Vikram says he has not sent us any itinerary. He just said see you at home.Then they all leave to get ready for the party.
At the party
When Aryman arrives from the airport, it's because he wanted to come home and surprise his mom. But he gets a surprise when he walks in; it's pitch dark. Then he walks to the living room and says, "Mom, Dad, where are you?" Then lights flicker on, and they all say, "Surprise." Aryaman is surprised to see everyone, especially Ahanna. He first meets his parents, hugs them, and then he hugs Vikram, and then he sees Saanvi and says, "Is that true? You actually decorated this place without any disaster." My god, you have officially learned something in your life, and then hugs her and says, "My bachcha has grown up" while trying to wipe invisible tears. Then they all start laughing. Then He hugs Saanvi even tighter and longer. As a result, Ahanna feels uncomfortable; she starts burning Saanvi with her eyes, and unknowingly she cuts her own her hands with her own nails, and blood comes out, yet she does not react. When Saanvi turns around, she sees Ahanna's hand, and she runs to her and says, "Ahanna, omg, you got a bad cut, and how did it happen?" Then she goes to get first aid and treats her hand. Then she tells her, "Stay with me. I do not trust you to leave you by yourself." I thought I was the clumsiest human being on earth, but you are even more delicate than me. Then she tells her, "Come, let's hang out with Aryaman and Vikram." Then Saanvi grabs Ahanna's hand and takes her over to Aryaman and clears her throat and puts a hand on Aryaman's shoulder and says, "Do you remember her?" Saanvi says, "Palavi Auntie says she is your friend too." Then Aryman says, "Hi, I am Aryman, and you are?" I am sorry, but I don’t remember your name. Ahanna says Ahanna Sharma. I am your parents' boss's daughter. You used to come to my house, and I met you the last summer you were here in India. Then he says, "Ah, now I recall." I was not able to put a name to a face. Then Saanvi whispers to Ahanna, "He is forgetful, number one." Then Aryaman says, "What did you say?" and Saanvi sticks her tongue out and runs, and Aryaman, forgetting everyone, runs after her. Vikram says to Ahanna, "Don't mind these two; they are crazy, and God bless their friendship." Even distance and age could not change anything between them.
After friends and acquaintances have had dinner from the buffet set up and they leave, Aryaman makes an announcement that he has landed his first job at Malhotras Inc. in the business management sector. Pallavi, with happy tears, kisses his forehead and hugs him. Shekhar hugs him and pats him on the back and says, "I am proud of you." Vikram says, "Congrats, bro," and Saanvi hugs him and says, "Congratulations." Then Ahana comes to him and says, "Congratulations," and he shakes her hand. Then Saanvi says, "Kya aab mujhe tumhe waha bhi bardhaasht be karna padhega?" Then Aryaman says, "Kya tum waha kam karti ho?" Then he hugs her very tightly, and then he says, "Now I will surely not get bored there." My entertainment ka saman is there. Ahanna, while hearing this, her heart starts hurting, and she could not see Aryaman close to Saanvi, so she leaves immediately. Then she calls her manager, Mr. Batra, and tells him to call Malhotras Inc. and tell them Sharmas wants to buy them out. Mr. Batra says, "Ahanna, ma'am, please think things through." She says, "Mr. Batra, just do it."

A few days after Aryaman joins Malhotra Inc.:
Ahanna starts calling Aryaman to her office for different reasons related to the projects, and she would not let him go out till lunchtime is over; therefore, he cannot spend time with Saanvi during the office hours, and to ensure Saanvi does not go home with Aryaman, she made Aryaman stay till 7 pm while everyone else left at 5 pm. At first Aryaman saw it as work, but then days turned into weeks and then months. He understood Ahanna is a workaholic; therefore, she would call him to discuss projects even during weekends and even at nighttime to ensure Aryaman is not hanging out with Saanvi. Aryaman was a diligent worker who wanted to give his best to everything and prove himself as a qualified person. He impressed Ahanna with his quick thinking skills and his innovative ideas for the different projects, and that made Ahanna fall in love with Aryamann even more. Then one day randomly she called him on a Saturday and asked him what he was doing and if he was not too busy, could they meet at the A La Carte coffee shop to discuss something very important? At first Aryaman did not think of it too much, but he decided since it was work-related, he should go. Aryaman arrives there, and he sees that his favorite coffee was already ordered with croissants and other cakes. He did not think of it too much, but then Ahanna started asking something random. She asks him, so how is he doing, what are his future plans, and does he have a girlfriend and stuff?
Aryaman says currently I'm focused on my career and carving my own niche rather than possibly starting my own company someday. I had a few girlfriends in New York, but nothing too serious.
Ahanna says, "What if some girl likes you or a rich girl likes you and you can have all that from the beginning?"
Aryaman shakes his head and starts laughing and says that is a good one. But why would a well-established girl be interested in me? Ahanna says you've got good looks, and you are smart with very innovative ideas, and you can take any company to the next level.
Then Ahanna says, "I gotta make a confession, Aryaman. I love you, and I have loved you since we were teens." I remember each and every thing about the two days we spent together before you left for NYU. You were the first person to treat me like a human and were very nice to me. People usually ran away from me when we were kids. Then she bends down on her knees and proposes, "Aryaman, will you marry me?"
First Aryman is looking at her shockingly, then after a while he says, "I need time."
Aryaman goes home.
He is walking around in his room and running his hands around his face. Then he decides to call his friends and get advice on how to deal with this situation. He calls Vikram and Saanvi over to the nukkar restaurant, where they can get some privacy to discuss this matter.
After Saanvi and Vikram arrive, they order their food, and he tells them, "Ahanna proposed to me for marriage?" Vikram, who had started eating his food, choked on his food. Then Vikram says, "Please don’t take any offense, but I find that girl weird; the way she stares at you all the time at the party." She was giving me a possessive-person look. Becareful around her Aryaman.
Saanvi says, "Oh, come on, she is not so bad." Yes, I have noticed it and some other things.
When we first joined Malhotras Inc., it was owned by the Malhotras, and overnight, owners changed. Then when we walked in, we learned it was Ahanna, and she did not mention at the party that she had taken over Malhotra Inc. Yes, I know we are not close, but still that's something that can be hidden for so long.
Mr. Malhotra's daughter Alice Malhotra has been working as an IT manager for the past 3 years, and after we became friends, she told me that there was no merger planned with the Sharmas ever, nor was there any enmity between them. It was just Ahanna who offered an offer to buy them out of thin air at night, and she offered more than what the company is worth. She said first she thought Ahanna was truly interested in the company, but there has been no growth or "so what" in the company; in fact, there is major money loss with the way she is throwing money around.
Also, the way she keeps you always busy on projects all the time, and I know from Pallavi Auntie that you do not come home till 7. One day Pallavi Auntie had called me and told me how she is proud of you for getting different projects, but she is worried about your health as you don’t even eat dinner at home, and she was asking me if you eat lunch, and I told her you are always with Ahanna. At first she was like, "It must be work," but then she started finding this very fishy.
Aryaman says, "Yeah, Mom was scolding me about not having lunch and dinner on time and asking me, 'Is everything between you and Saanvi?' as we don’t hang out." And why am I always in Ahanna's cabin for different projects?
But I did not think much about it at that time, but knowing how she feels about me, I can connect the dots.
Honestly, I have not seen her more than my boss.
Saanvi said she has had a troublesome childhood, and she usually does not get along with everyone, but she always has been keen to know about you even when you were in NY.
Vikram is a psychologist and says her troublesome childhood explains it, but her obsession is not healthy nor is her possessiveness with the way she keeps you busy. It looks like she wants you to only spend time with her and no one else, and she may not like your friendship with Saanvi.
He asks, "Since you started working there, how many days have you spent with Saanvi?"
Aryaman says may 2 days in these past 2 months.
Vikram says, "Hmm, be careful."
Aryaman: That truly helps.
Saanvi says Vikram may be correct or maybe not.
But I think she is not bad; she just wants to spend time with you because she likes you.
I would suggest you tell her the truth and tell her you can only offer friendship, and if you like her in the future, you can date her before you think about even getting married to her.
Tell her in nice words you would like to hang out a little more and see if a future is possible.
But be careful not to say it in a way where she doesn’t feel you are rejecting her in anyway or trying to buy some time to gently let her know your final decision.
I heard when she wants something, she can go to any lengths to get it. But she needs to understand you are not an object or a toy she can play with, and she needs to respect your feelings, but I think she can be nice if someone shows her the nice way to do things, and possibly she can change for you.
Or who knows it might work out for you both.
