The thing about Indian TV is it does what it did today. The show didn’t have Smriti in today’s episode for some reason but they wanted everyone to talk about her and while I actually loved the brothers ranting to their wives as their conversation flowed smoothly as a whole, I found that scene with Gayatri and Shobha cringe; especially them fangirling over Tulsi and thinking that line about constant/instant was something awesome.
It was NOT.
The audience is treated like they lack basic intelligence and understanding by most of the entertainment industry actors the world today especially since doomscrolling has been combined with streaming services.
They don’t want to give us content that we can’t look away from; then wanna complain about the audience not appreciating content.
Bollywood is trying its hardest to make us hate ourselves by making content that we don’t care about anymore especially since the pandemic and their agenda as well as propaganda being exposed while Hollywood is pushing DEI so hard that they too are getting the hate they deserve. DEI is being forced in subjects like Odyssey as activism rather than being an effortless part of the story that maybe inspired by classics.
I felt that today’s episode actually killed all the aura that they tried to farm for Tulsi.
I had already spoken about the episode reminding me of Kal, Aaj aur Kal and how Tulsi’s whole tactic reminded me of Raj Kapoor using a similar method to make his father and son come together. Even if people had never seen the movie they would have still caught on with the intent if the writers were good enough. Gayatri spelling it out was such a bummer for me.
Subtlety is an art lost in Indian TV shows.
This forced drama has been pushed just to extend the show for god knows how many more episodes. They could have honestly killed Parth in an accident or even kept the whole thing same with Nandini going to jail and the show could’ve focused on Tulsi being the pillar of strength and support for her family instead of this crap.
Gautam trying to project himself as the good son is only till he sees Tulsi supporting Nakul and Vaishnavi as a couple IMO. He will be hating Tulsi pretty soon just like Karan and then when the truth is revealed, he will be angry at her for being willing to go to jail and take the blame for murder for Karan’s sake.
Crazy how before he was always going on about Karan not being Tulsi’s son but being her favourite; and today he’s trying to make Karan accept that Tulsi’s his mother too just because Karan rightfully hates her because he’s been made to believe she killed his son.
