SP is uploading full episodes of Saathiya in my country so I am watching it daily. I’m on episode 112 now.

The show was entertaining yet hilarious. Some scenes make me laugh a lot now.

But the show was very toxic in the initial episode. Ahem, Kokila and Urmila used to torture poor Gopi. Kokila was a literal vamp who shared a creepy relationship with Ahem. Ahem was a spineless ass who couldn’t stand up for his love for Anita.

I don’t like Rashi however she is remarried and her rants against Kagdi is hilarious, so is the plotting with Urmila.

Umang Radha track was my favourite. The show starts getting very interesting from there.

Love this show so much. I never get bored of it no matter how many times I have watched it.

Her character was definitely changed from the initial plan.

I dont think their initial plan was to make Kokila a vamp.Because the first day after the wedding itself she scolded Rashi for troubling gopi.But Kokila was a grey character who kept changing colours. She dominated gopi,taunted her whenever she wanted and blamed her too when gopi went against her wishes.She gave big punishments to gopi and radha when they made small mistakes.Even in sns2 she blamed gopi unnecessarily. She was grey till the end though she was positive too in some tracks.

She had a creepy relationship with Ahem or may be not creepy as many MILs when neglected by their husbands for whatever reasons and dependent on patriarchy to gain power have such weird relationship with sons as they think sons are their next ticket for power. She didn’t want Gopi and Ahem to be close. She wanted Gopi to be just used as baby machine to give her waris but not really get the wife’s love from Ahem. She was scared of Ahem and Gopi being close. For me, she was a vamp because how she specifically looked for girls who would be perfect slave for her to control. That’s why she chose Gopi as she saw she doesn’t ever raise voice and doesn’t know anything

From what I remember, he was laidback type and didn’t have interest in the business? She felt her devar and his wife had more say because that devar was working hard in the business while her husband wasn’t doing much. So she kept insulting him for that and put all her hopes on Ahem
