Fine that you liked both... however "Bollywood" never disappeared or went to become another kind of commercial movie-making filmindustry. There always had been movies of different 'quality', different genres, different focus on certain audience-preferences, different messages.

What changed has less to do with "Bollywood" but with a changed reception (imo).

I stopped watching Indian movies since a very long time, because they became full of violence, and intimate scenes. Now I am looking forward to watch MVA.

There was a time when Movies got more member reviews than those easy-peasy posted twitter ones... although sticking several actual movies doesn't seem to be possible (MVA is now on page 5 and no one posted there since 2 days).

It really is a discussworthy movie, but one will see violence there, too... as shock moments (although, personally, disrupting the tone of the movie, imo, and not necessary as we know what atrocities had been done).

Minty, would you like to write your impressions also in the movie review thread? Didn't the accumulation of other different (small) stories not disturb you and also the back and forth? Did the love story really had a unique touch for you?

I didn't like main vaapas aungua that much, other than naseer not much there, very manipulative, and diljit and banita were a bore....

Imtiaz Ali is my favourite director and I’ve had the fortune of interacting with him. I truly hope that Main Waapas Aaunga resonates with the audience.
