In HaiJawani .. all he did was try to ape Salman Khan be his mannerisms and dialogue delivery. The story and screenplay was bad but his acting was pathetic.

Either learn proper acting or at least choose good scripts.

David Dhawan's career was mostly based on remaking South films. The moment dubbed South films became a thing on Hindi movie channels , his downfall was inevitable.

The same situation applied to SRK & Ranveer before Pathaan & Dhurandhar. If they can come back, so can Varun, Salman, Tiger & Ayushmann.

Gone wali threads are big joke now, ek badi HIT & all these theories go out of window.

For some, Varun may be 'over'...for others not... btw, Bhediya was successful, too... and his performance in Border 2 got appreciation... so, to me, no, he isn't over as a lead actor

His current movie just belongs to those who rarely make money after Covid had changed the movie-going... and economy gets lower and lower...

bhediya was successful just the same way how october was successful..in varuns PR world where below average verdicts = success

His last actual success as a lead was judwa 2 which was almost a decade ago

Maybe different people look at success in different ways... no problem with that as I think it is a quite personal decision.

To me, the success of a movie is my personal experience (and of course of those who think/feel likewise)... for the makers/producers - of course - it is about money (mostly)

He was good in Badlapur and October. He is not cut out for popular commercial movies. he doesn't have it in him.

Hindi Cinema desperately need charismatic young heroes. Its been ages since Khans and Hrithik.

Ranbir and Ranveer are fine but they have also debuted two decades back.
