no matter if they became 'hits'... they definitely showed that Varun has a potential as actor not explored in those kind of HJTIHH kind of movies

I enjoyed his performance in badlapur. Hits are not going to make money for you or me

My mother walked out on this film
Karthik, Ayushmann, Rajkumar rao are still doing solo hero films why not him?
Atleast his films are collecting 8 cr in day one, Karthik last film did 4 cr with cooperative bookings, Lakshya last week had 2 cr opening, Ayushamn had 4 cr opening

but it makes for him, that why he always focus on what has potential for him.
I also liked October as well as Badlapur but the fact is even if this film flops, still it can gross atleast 50 cr and gets good Ott and satellite deal.
October type film would have opened at 2 cr
The focus on boxoffice verdicts is something I really find annoying...
Even though Bhediya 'only' got an average verdict, it received positive reviews for its visual effects, comedy, and originality. It may have been an underperformer commercially (if grossing around ₹90 crore against a production budget of roughly ₹60 crore is 'underperforming') but it didn't put Maddock in debts, right?

no one can answer that coz maddock is the king and queen of BO manipulation..they will always fudge numbers to escape flop verdicts..so when a madock film emerges an average..we know what it actually is
To have an epic comeback you need to be extremely talented and/or very charismatic with a star quality on screen like SRK and Ranveer. Varun and co who are flopping currently possess neither that level of talent or charisma so even if they do comeback it will not be earth shattering but a small hit and then back to the usual semi hits or flops routine.
This is why I would never write off a Salman, Hrithik or an Aamir cause they have atleast one of the above mentioned traits if not both, but Varun and co....nope.

Badlapur was a certified hit and had good songs also.

To respond to that, I don't believe that I should not trust Maddock (all my sources say the contrary)... but that doesn't mean that I trust the co-producers (as for Stree 2 Reliance in the person of Jyoti
) as an example...
