My sister in law and brother knew the gender all along, and we kept pleading them to tell us before hand, so that we can prepare accordingly.

In India we can't determine gender, but outside we can, and we had to send the entire baby preparation thing to them.

They didn't tell until the baby actually came into this world. We had to prepare everything gender neutral then, since we had no other choice.

This is exciting too by the way, sending gender neutral things, baby shower having blue and pink theme hehe

I had a misconception that girls are more docile than the boys. My niece has made sure to make me believe that Mhari Chhori Chhoro ke Kam hai key?

She won't let us sit on the sofa if she's playing on the floor. We can't lie down around her or even try napping. She'll literally pull our eyelid open to ask if we are actually sleeping.smiley37

Yaar India mein toh gender neutral hi karna padta hai because we don't know it until the child is born. We wanted to do a gender specific thing since they were abroad. Anyway, their baby, their choice.

Meri sister ke time toh kya hua that, my sister went into preeclampsia and delivered in 26 weeks. And her baby girl stayed in the NICU for two and a half months. I had ample time to buy everything pink until she could wear something more than just a diaper. And my goodness, the amount of pink we've seen over the past two years that life suddenly felt like the office of Professor Umbridge from Harry Potter...smiley37
